I have a Dell Studio One 1909 with a new SATA drive and Windows 7 installed. The computer will not read any verified working cd copies of WIndows xp 32-bit. It will read other cds, like my original of Windows 7. I have a bootable USB drive with Windows XP professional SP3 32-bit with drivers slip streamed using nLite. I can boot from this USB drive but i get an error: cannot load KBDUS.DLL. Shut down or restart. I have tried setting all permissions to full control on my USB drive and still get the error. I also tried using a different keyboard, the first is a wireless keyboard and the second a wired USB keyboard. I have also tried uninstalling the keyboards before restarting. The only way i can get past this error is to unplug the keyboard entirely after selecting to boot from the flash drive and selecting the windows setup. If i unplug, the setup loads all files correctly and asks me to push Enter to install WINXP but i cant, because i have no keyboard! Any insight to this issue would be greatly appreciated. Im stuck.
