I'm just an old goat who's tired of Windows telling me what I want rather than the other way around. I downloaded nlite and am working my way through a build using an old XP disk so I can get a handle on how to do things when I go for the live one. I'd also like to have it load some of my software (all legal, incidentally) although I haven't quite figured out how to get it to go where I want it. Office 2003 is another issue I need to address since I want it also not to go to the C: drive.

I'm a 100% disabled vet (Nam-era, service connected) and am kind of a slow learner, a result of assorted psychotropic meds and the reasons for them, so if I ask Really Stupid questions I hope people will be somewhat understanding.

Oh. With all that, I'm also the father of the most wonderful daughter anyone could ask for, do a little home machining among other things as "occupational therapy" and have gotten into 3D art so eventually will be getting a seriously hot machine when I can afford it to help do renders in something less than a day or two. There's a bunch of other stuff but it's too manini to consider of any value.
