  1. Hello there Guys, I am leaning more and more towards buy the Thermalright Ultra-120 eXtreme Air Cooling Solution for my Core 2 Extreme Processor. A lot of people have recommended me the Thermalright, so I am gona go with them. I have read that in order to have the right Balance, I need to have the right Fan for the Thermalright Ultra-120 eXtreme. To Sum up my Questions: 1) Which Fan I should buy for Thermalright Ultra-120 eXtreme? 2) Also wanted to know if the Fan Holding Clips are Strong on the Ultra-120 eXtreme to hold the Fans? 3) Which Fans can I use on my Ultra-120 eXtreme that are Blue LED? 4) What number of Fans would you guys recommend me on the Ultra-120 eXtreme? So if you guys can answer these questions for me, I am gona order the Thermalright Ultra-120 eXtreme over the weekend. I am gona take your guys recommendation and I am gona go with Thermalright Ultra-120 eXtreme as the Air Solution for my Intel Core 2 Extreme QX9770 (Ya Baby)! Thx for all the help guys! P.S. Fusion
  2. Thx for your guys comments. I am still not sure about the Motherboard Situation. I am gona wait untill X48 Officially is Launched and then make my decision. I might have to sell my Asus Maximus SE, if I plan to go the way of X48 Chipset. And ripken204, I really had fun reading your reply. Regarding the over-clocking, I am gona look into your request. I don't plan to do any water-cooling. And the Video Card, depends on the Release date of 9800GT. Then I will make my decision.
  3. Hello there Guys, I just had to share this BREAKING NEWS with you guys. It finally paid of having my cousin work at INTEL. So I got a call on Tuesday (March 18, 2008) from my Cousin say if I wanted a Processor and of course I said hell ya. So guys guess what Processor I got? Give Up? The Processor I got is “Intel Core 2 Extreme QX9770 Processor”. Clocked at 3.2GHz with 12MB of Cache and with 1600MHz Front Side Bus. (Ya Baby!) I was building a New Rig Anyway. I was planning to get the Intel Core 2 Quad Q9450, but getting the Extreme Edition Instead is Welcome Any Day. 1) Buy X48 Chipset Motherboard: Guys, the BIGGEST Question is, do I need to BUY X48 Chipset Based Motherboard for this Processor. I know that Asus Maximus Formula SE does support 1600FSB after a Bios Update, but from what I understand that 1600FSB isn’t OFFICIALLY Supported. So can you guys give me your comments on what should I do. 2) Air Cooling Solution Recommendations: I am guessing that “Thermalright” is gona be the front Runner, Am I right? If any other’s Please share. Over-Clocking right now I am not sure. (Maybe Yes or Maybe No)! 3) Memory Recommendations: I am looking at getting the 4GB (2xGB) sticks with the PC-8500. I have narrowed the list to Three Brands. If you guys have any other recommendations, Please share them. OCZ - Reaper 4GB (2xGB) G-Skill - 4GB (2xGB) Crucial Ballistix - 4GB (2xGB) 4) Power Supply Recommendations: I have the Consair HX620 Watts right now. Is this enough for my Rig or Do I need to get another one? 4. Hello there Guys, I just needed you guys help in this really hard decision for me. As some of you may know, I am building a new system and I was look into which Sound Card I should get. I have been using Creative Labs Sound cards in the past, but when Vista came out, Creative really p***ed me off. There drivers were really bad and I made a decision that in my new PC I wasn’t gona put Creative Sound Card. But for some reason, Creative Keeps coming in my head and know I am not sure which way to go. This is where I need your guys help. If you guys can threw in your two cents, which would really help me make my final decision on which soundcard to get. Here is a quick description of what this soundcard will be used for. I am not a Hard-Core Gamer, but I do play games. Mostly Need For Speed Titles and Madden. I might play some other titles, if I find something interesting. I listen to a lot of music, watch DVD and TV. So after reading this, Which Soundcard would you guys recommend me. Remember I am gona be running Vista as my OS (64Bit System). If you guys can help me out this decision, it would really help me out. My List of Sound Card: ASUS Xonar D2X PCI-X Version Sound Blaster X-Fi XtremeMusic Sound Blaster X-Fi XtremeGamer Fatal1ty Professional Series Sound Blaster® X-Fi Platinum Fatal1ty Champion Series Sound Blaster X-Fi™ Fatal1ty FPS If you guys have any other recommendations, please let me know those too. Thx for all you help guys!
  5. I did do some research and I really didn't get whole a lot of answers. Also my guess on the 98/Me Boot disk is that, they might t work because they don't support NTFS File System. So if you got a link to a website, share it with me. But other then that, thx for the input!
  6. Hello there guys, I just wanted to know if there is a way for me to install Vista from my storage drive. It not that I don't have a DVD-ROM, I just wanted to see how fast it will install if I run the entire Setup from my second drive. Also I am need access to commend-line when I boot-up my PC. I don't think I can use the old Windows 98/ME Boot Disk, Can I? So if there is a way for me to setup vista from my second hardrive please let me know and also let me know what tool do I need to access Command-Line when I bootup my PC. THX!
  7. Hey Guys, just wanted to give you an update. I ordered the Asus Maximus Formula SE this morning and it should me here in couple of days. I am glad that I finally ordered it. Because after reading bit-tech quick preview of X48 Chipset, my opinion on X48 is that, it's not worth the wait. Stick with X38. My Grand Total for the MB is $280.49. Once again thx for all the help guys! P.S. Fusion
  8. I also wanted to ask you guys on the Asus Maximus Formula SE MB, Can I remove the heatsinks. The reason for that is, I want to put my own thermal paste and I might just put Chipset Fans on the North and South Bridge. Keeping the SYSTEM COOL is my main thing. The only thing that I plan to OC right now would be the Processor. That why I bought the Stacker 830 for the system that I am building. So if you guys can comment on this please. Thx for all the help guys! P.S. Fusion
  9. If the X48 is released soon, then I don't mind waiting, but to be truthful, I really haven't heard anything BIG about X48, besides it OFFICIALLY supporting 1600FSB, DDR3 and whatever I am forgetting.
  10. Hey Guys, I think I finally made up my mind on which MB to get for my next system that I am working on. Just like the title says, "The Asus Maximus Formula (Special Edition)." I went with the DDR2 version because DDR3 is really EXPENSIVE and also Intel plans to introduce a new socket at the end of next year, so I will get a new board with DDR3 support. So ya, I am gona go with The Asus Maximus Formula (Special Edition). My question to you guys that, what if I don't plan to Do Water-Cooling? Should I still get this board. I know it's Water-Cool Ready, but I don't plan to do Water-Cooling. So the question is that "Can I still use this board without Water-Cooling?" If you guys can comment on this, it would really help me out. I just wanted to be sure before I get this Board. So if you can, Please Comment On This! THX, P.S. Fusion
  11. Hey Guys, now that Vista has been out for a while, I just wanted to get your guys opinion on what is the Best Internet Security Suite for Vista? I have been using Avast for my virus protection (happy) and I have been using mcafee for my firewall protection (not happy). Mcafee is really starting to p*** me off. Its slow and it uses alot of my resources. So if you guys can recommend some really good Internet Suites for Vista, it would really solve my problems that I am having right now. Thank You! P.S. Fusion
  12. Hey Guys, I hope I can ask this question in here. I haven't bought a camera for a long time. And now I am in the market for a New Digital Camera. I am not a photographer. I just want to have a camera that takes good pictures. A Family Camera. My budget is between $100 - $200. I want to have a camera that takes good pictures, good pixel number, couple of good features. I don't know alot about Digital Camera and that is why I came to you guys. If you guys can recommend me some good brands that I should look at or good camera that I should look, it would really help me out. Plus give me whatever info I need to look for when buying a Digital Camera. Thank You for you help guys! P.S. Fusion
  13. First of all Neo, thx for all your help man. Neo I hate to keep bugging you, but I am guessing that the DLL files you gave me are just the starting points right? And I am pretty sure there are more. My question to you Neo is that, What is the best way to find all the DLL Files for the Setup Process? Do I go threw all the DLL or are there any Special Ones for the Setup Process? So if you can comment on this topic, that would REALLY help me out. Once again, thx for all the help man. P.S. Fusion
  14. And which program do I use Neo to edit these DLL Files.

If there is a thread already started, they I am sorry and an you point me to that thread. I wanted to Edit my Vista Setup Screen, but I don't know which files to edit. 19. Like I said, I don't plan to use this Mouse for Gaming, Just everyday usage. I am a Multi-Media Guys and I think this mouse would be a good choice for me. A lot of other guys are recommending me getting the Logitech MX Revolution Mouse. What's your guys take on that mouse? Thx for the input!
  20. Hey Guys, I was getting ready to get me a new mouse for my new system that I am building. I am a BIG fan of Logitech Products. I was about to get the Logitech MX Revolution Mouse, but then I ran into the Logitech's Breaking New on there new Logitech MX Air Mouse. I really like the way it look and what it can do. I got some reviews from the web that I am gona go threw and of all the websites that I have visited, the mouse got 8.5 out of 10, which in my opinion is good score. The reason I am really interested in this mouse is because of what it can do. In Air or on Desk usage. I also bought the Logitech diNovo Edge Keyboard and I think getting the MX Air will be a good Combination. So if you guys can share your opinion on this new mouse, it would really help me out. With your help, I can make my decision. Just to let you guys know I am not planning to use this mouse to play games. I have other things to take care of that. So help me out guys. THX! P.S. Fusion
  21. Hey Guys, I have been using Vista Ultimate for a while now and I haven't had any major problems with the OS. So far I only have one problem with Vista and that is where I need your guys help. The problem is USB Ports on my system under Vista. Whenever I Plug-In my USB Thumb/Flash Drive, My PSP or my External HD into any of my USB Ports, they lose connectivety while I am copying stuff. It could be anything as of copying files. Now whenever I Plug-In my USB Thumb/Flash Drive, My PSP or my External HD into any of my USB Ports under XP, there is no problem. So if anyone can help me with this problem, it would really make my life more fun under Vista. This is the only problme I have so far with Vista, USB Ports. So Please help me out. Thank You. P.S. Fusion
  22. Hey Guys, I was attending my A+ classes at my college and I have been hearing alot about the Recovery and Bootable CD/DVD. I have heard that these can be custom made and you can even have Multi-OS and have all the utilties you need on the CD/DVD. I have also heard that you can have something called a "Live OS'. What is this anyway? My question is if I want to make my own Custom Windows Recovery and Bootable CD/DVD, Where do I start. I have never done this before and I really want to try this out. So if some can point me to the right direction, it would really help me out in my A+ Class. So if anyone has any info, please let me know. P.S. Fusion
  23. I don't need the sound card now, its for my new Rig. I want to stay away from Creative. I had a big problem with them when Vista came and there drivers were really bad. That's why I looked at the Asus Sound Card. Regarding the new Auzentech X-Fi Prelude card, isn't that creative inside that card. I know the company is different, but they are using creative's chipset. Also who is makeing the drivers for the Auzentech X-Fi Prelude Card. If it is creative, then you can forget about that card for me. I don't want to put up with drivers probelms again under Vists and I am not going back to XP. So if the Auzentech X-Fi Prelude Sound Card has the Creative Chipset, but the Drivers are being created by Auzentech, then I will take a look at this card. But as it stand for now, I am sticking with the Asus Sound Card as my First Choice! THX! P.S. Fusion
  24. Well the Rig I am building right now, I want to have a good sound system. I even bought the Logitech Digital Z-5500 Speaker Set. So I don't see why I should go with a low brand sound card when I paid really good money for my Logitech Sound System. I know onboard sound card are ok, but I want to have my own sound card, not the onboard card. I have never used the onboard sound card. Even the motherboard that I get (Intel or Asus X38 Baby), I don't plan to use there onboard card. But the biggest reason is that my Rig is gona be a Multi-Media/PC Power. Watch TV, DVD, Videos, Play Games and do the normal PC Stuff. I do make my own mix cd's. So when I listen to my mixes on my new Logitech sound system, I wanna hear good music. P.S. Fusion
