How do I use ModernFrame.dll with schedular.bat, already have Aero Glass working? Previously had it working with AppInit_DLLs method.
-
The RC0 seems to be working great, no artifacts like in the previous version. The debug window also shows realtime info, intended or a bug? Will test it more and post you the results.

I'll try to get a better screenshot but at this current moment, glass is working fine and there are no artifacts... @shelter: exactly!
-
I know what you mean, but this doen't happen everytime. As for the sceenshot, If you try to see to the border of the live thumbnail (inside the glass region), you can see a line with a little shadow surrounding the thumbnail. Do you see it now?
-
You can't be serious. Please do a better job of capturing your screenshot, because there's no way anyone could possibly see anything in that blurry shot. -Noel I'll try my best to capture the artifacts on my system, these things doesn't get captured using the built-in Print Screen functionality in Windows 8/8.1. I currently don't have my camera, all I have is my crappy phone. So deal with it

please use winkey+printscreen shortcut to take screenshot The artifacts are not visible on Windows screenshots!

I am getting artifacts on the preview thumbnails of applications on taskbar. Here's my debug.log | screeshot

In beta 3, it also needs debug symbols for DWM.exe apart from uDWM and dwmcore.
-
It is still loading Beta 1, bu looking at your debug. To replace it with Beta 2, first remove it from regedit and restart, rplace the files with the new one and add the registry settings again and restart.

Nice update bigmuscle, beta2 is working great. Quite stable build and the flickering bug on the taskbar has been fixed. Here's a quick debug.log BTW, not a big fan of the new watermark...

I'd like to report a bug, when I minimize any application, I see a flicker on the taskbar. The taskbar loses its blur and stripes for a moment, sometimes it stays that way till I minimize or maximize any application. My config: Intel 2nd Gen i3, 8gb RAM, intel HD 3000...

Beta 1 still works after installing the Win8.1 GA Update Rollup A, though I had the incompatibility error after the reboot, it automatically downloaded the symbols and is working great now.
-
Known Issue, bigmuscle has fixed it. He will soon release the new version, beta 2.

Oh, I had no idea that it worked like that, I thought 0 was disabled and any other value to get it enabled. I have set it to 150 now, it is visible, previously I only set it to 10.
-
They don't work if you don't enable them - http://glass8.berlios.de/guide.html I did that, both global and current user, that was the reason for my first post...

Custom themes is working Perfectly, what does aero stripes have to do with this? or am I missing something?
-
For some reason Aero Stripes are not working on my PC.. Here's my debug.log
-
The Aero Glass utility needs to download symbol files from MS servers, thats the reason for the error, Currently only donators with licence keys can download the symbols automatically. You can download the Windows 8.1 symbol debug ISO from MSDN, make a symbols folder in the Aero Glass utility folder and dump the required symbol files there or you can donate and get a license key.

The image you are refering to is Custom Theme Resource. If you want to use Custom themes instead like you had with UxStyle, you can enable the BypassThemeSignature feature in Aero Glass utility. Go to HKLM\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\DWM in regedit, create a new DWORD key named BypassThemeSignature and set it to 1(0 to disable). After a restart you can use custom themes on your Windows 8.1.
-
Thanks bigmuscle, Beta1 is working great on my laptop. I am currently using a custom theme with the help of the BypassThemeSignature from your utility on Win8.1 RTM (Pro), and is working as expected. Will provide the debug.log later...
