well seeing that there is no dream machine these days with 100mhz incrementals coming out on a daily basis i would upgrade my current t40 to a t43(coming out q1 05) yeah....i think thats it...oh and would def need a laptop hd capable of holding 1-2TB....yeah that would be good.....

what do you mean, the unit just turns off when you set the property in power mngmnt to "do nothing"..?? that's interesting..do you have another program controling power settings...ie if it was an IBM - MaxiMizer Wizard, Dell - Quickset, Toshiba - PowerSave or something like that...

too much "full defragmentation"along with heat can lead to drive failure. so just becareful. Perhaps you should consider using NAS for storing your mp3s and what not and just leave a 160giger in your comp to encode your videos.
