when I try to extract the file it states .exe is not a supported archive

Thank you for point me in the rigth direction, but your reg changed my start menu to the classic start menu. I manged to modify the key and get my Start menu and single click to open an item enable in the folder options. This is the key setting. I am looking for the reg entry under folder optios for single click to open an item. Ihave search gooble with no success.
