  1. Found the answer. First off, started with a fresh x64, yet again. Integrated the drivers, but not the latest one. I used the motherboard cd. That's right, I tried integrating the drivers before the board came in. The manufacturer said Nforce 4, but in reality the drivers are nforce 4 sli. Might not make a difference, but the drivers on the cd slipped no problem using nlite final. Anyone using asus boards, use the drivers disc. All files are right where they belong for slipping. Thanks everyone.
  2. First of all, they're the 64 bit drivers. I'm not that lame. The write up mentions an inf file that no longer exists. I'm going to try to get the 6.67 drivers, slip those and then upgrade IF the slipping works. Crazy thing, all the other latest nforce drivers slip just fine. Now the info: nforce 4 chipset, 2 80gb sata1 drives in raid 0. No floppy drive. Go to nvidia's site, those are the drivers I was using.
  3. Setup cannot find: nvraid.cat nvraidco.dll nvrdx64.inf nvrdx64.sys Don't know where nlite told the setup program to look for the files. I have them in all folders of the disc. I have all hard drives out except for the raid 0 drives. I press escape to bypass the files, I get bsod when windows tries booting to the gui portion of setup. Using the latest nforce driver set. Any suggestions?
  4. I have been using my unattended with that line set to yes for 2 years now without any problems. However, I am going to try slipstreaming the driver packs. I can't count how many times I could have used those packs to make my thousands of installations easier. Thanks for the info. Will comment on the outcome tomorrow.
  5. I NEED the via raid drivers to load during textmode setup. I can get setup to read the floppy, load the driver, show the hard drive on the sata controller during drive selection, create a partition and format the hard drive. Once setup goes to copy files, none of the driver files can be found. Floppy disk is still in the drive. The disk is checked out to be ok on another computer. In the winnt.sif file, I have Unattended=No. Until today, that allowed me to install the drivers off the disk while still having unattended. Doesn't work anymore. Anyone have any ideas? Edit: When I hit "enter" to try again, the floppy drive looks like it's reading, but the files aren't being found.
  6. Been fooling with this for an hour, done searches, looked at the developer web site, nothing. The only post that comes close to what I'm trying to figure out is so badly writen, I don't know what the author is trying to do, and the solution is too confusing. Here's what I'm trying to do: WPI by default is displaying 2 apps per screen. That's not good enough. I need the screen filled up by catagories. Essentially, I have about 12 apps. all 12 apps should be on one screen. Instead, I have to page through 6 screens to see all apps. The viao theme does what I want by default, why can't the default theme do the same?
  7. yup, OEM Preinstall was set to no. Now it all works. Thanks.
  8. I've been browsing the forum for a past few days making my own xp setup dvd. I'm stuck right at the beginning: getting $OEM folders to copy to the hard drive during setup. I have: [GuiRunOnce] %systemdrive%\install\start.cmd inside winnt.sif. I know the sif file is being called because windows xp installs on it's own. I tested the windows auto install setup with success before starting to add to GuiRunOnce. I also added reg tweaks during t-12, with sucess. Now I want to run start.cmd to get windows updates and applications rolling after the first login. During the first login, i get "c:\install\start.cmd is not found" error. The directory structure on the cd is %CDROM%\$OEM$\$1\install. From what I keep reading, everying in the $1 directory should have been copied over to the c drive (that's where i install windows). BUT, no install directory is created at all. How do I force setup to copy the directory over properly? I have done forum and web searches. My guess is I'm the only one who can't get the directory to copy over.
