i'm not asking any help/support regarding any warez... i'm referring the method he is using to boot his usb disk... as he is using cdob's method's i'm asking for support from u guys... as u r gurus n should know every method/flavor of ram loaded windows xp installation if he can do this modifing/using ur files y cant we try??? that's y i'm here n asking help, n sharing my experiences on this forum... thnx

i'm trying to copy the method used in SOME WAREZ which name was removed by jaclaz which mounts win_xp.iso to ram by creating temp drive or floppy then use imdisk to auto mount same iso image for gui mode after restart... this is quite fast way to install windows i modified menu.lst as per the mentioned WAREZ release this is wht i did... title Windows XP x32 - Professional\nfind --set-root /image/XP_Inst.gzmap --mem /image/XP_Inst.gz (fd0)map --mem /image/XP_Inst.gz (fd1)find --set-root/image/XP32.isomap /image/XP32.iso (0xfe)map --hookmap --mem (0xfe)+290000 (0xff)map (hd0) (hd1)map (hd1) (hd0)map --hookchainloader (0xff)/I386/SETUPLDR.BINits works like a charm... it also works for server 2003 32bit... but for windows xp 64 its not gud... wht i did is I add firadisk64 driver into XP_Inst.gz and make firadisk64 as default driver... it helps me a lot and my text mode setups goes fine it reads my winnt.sif.... everything is ok but after restart when gui mode starts it comes up with an error to insert disk of windows xp x64... need some solution to auto mount winxp64.iso image after 1st restart only.... Thanx a lot my 1st problem is solved by changing [Defaults] scsi = firadisk32 with [Defaults] scsi = firadisk64 now i'm not getting any error during textmode ======================================== i found FiraEdit.inf and firadisk.inf files identical... one is used under 32bit driver and other under 64bit driver... dont know why [Files.scsi.firadisk32] driver = firadisk, firadisk.sys,firadisk catalog= firadisk, firadisk.cat inf = firadisk, FiraEdit.inf dll = firadisk, firadisk.cmd [Files.scsi.firaDisk64] driver = firadisk, firadi64.sys,firadisk inf = firadisk, firadisk.inf catalog= firadisk, firadi64.cat

sorry for my bad english... i dont have my own version of txtsetup.oem file i'm using the one cdob attached in his previous post... i didnt add or remove anything from txtsetup.oem file i'm using it as it is attached... cdob i'm testing usb with atleaste 7 different system varing from p4, durion, c2d, i3, phenom... with same results... which didnt comeup with driver errors and the continious iso filemount problem after installing windows....

i formatted my system, will install again then able to post screenshots... problem is after successful installation of Windows XP SP2 x64 when ever i insert my installation usb into system two new drives appear into my computer instead one (which should be my usb disk) one of these two disks is my usb disk... other is a cd-rom drive showing my winxpx64.iso file mounted (winxpx64.iso file is saved into my usb disk from where i installed this window) when i eject my USB disk both drive disappear from my computer...

i'm using ima file attached by cdob and exactly same menu.lst still getting this msg i have to press enter in textmode to continue... windows installed sucessfully here i face another problem.... i see winxpx64 is still mounted as CD i can see it as cd drive in my computer when ever i plug my usb into the system... when i pull my usb back cd drive also gone...

the device associated with following device driver will not work correctly on this computer /firadisk/firadisk.sys

if i replace for xp pro 32bit (didnt check it with 64bit yet) with installation goes OK using winnt.sif as unattended input please tell me abut map --mem (md)0x6000+800 (fd0) whts its function??? Replacing the above line wont work for win xp 64bit... error any solution please ....

Script i'm successfully using for server 2003 32bit cant find option to attach modified file advantage of this script over your script is that we can use winnt.sif for unattended instlation inside SRVR3SP2.IMA.GZ folder... while using your above script system dose not read winnt.sif... any solution

Solved... previous script was gud... problem is in my source iso file as i nlite org iso when i use org ios everything gose OK thnx anyways... now my nxt aim to include xp64bit can u please help me in this THNX

i'm using 06 version of XP_INST.IMA which dose not require setup.exe but i checked it with older version by replacing setup.exe i'm getting error in gui mode something like source is not found i think it dose not mount iso file on 2nd setup
