Someone could post-me a link to HD Doctor Seagate Update for this fix? As someone knows I sent my drive to a restore service, and the owner of this service said me that he have the HD Doctor but can't get updates (don't know why). So someone can send me a link with a direct download please? I'll forward this.

Well I sent my disc to a restore service here in Brazil. Talked with the owner of store and he told-me that he have the Salvation Data hardware but it sucks. Hmmm let's see if he can recover my disk. And no PC-3000 here

As long as it has a BSY signal I don't believe EFI will be able to communicate with it. Anyway, i purchased a ST3500320AS Drive recently 9BX154-303:SD15:09142 and I'm following the threads about the problem. The difference is that it has the Site Code: SUZHSG (Made in China) and SerialNumber is 6QM06YHN (6QM instead of 9QM) Should I be worried? This is my 2nd 500GB Seagate Drive in the system, the other one is from the 7200.10 Series and I have my important info on both drives. I think I get rid of BSY since my HDD Led is now off Hmmm considering to open my New Macbook to try.

Just wondering what happens if I plug my drive in a EFI-based computer. Since there is no BIOS the HD detection should be different, no?

My disk is equal... 08495 I just don't want to make my serial public since Seagate can see this thread and blacklist our drives.

Thailand here. But this is a firmware problem, so it's replicable to all disks. If was a hardware failure, OK. But it's not. (IMO)

So were you able to recover the data off the failed drive? I've tried a PCB swap to no avail, but the boards were noticeably different anyway. Unfortunatelly not. Because the 7200.11 don't start with logical board change The drive tries to initialize but the motor stops after some head tickling noise. Conclusion: My 2 logical boards are fine, and the 2 disks are fine too. So it's the freakin BSY bug

Oh hai. I'm one more with this BSY bug (I think!) 2009 is a bad year for me, lost ALL my data in this ST31000340AS drive. Exactly in January 1st. Anyway, I have done some job in my disk. I've removed the BSY stat and flashed the firmware to AD15. But the this isn't recognized yet. So I must clear SMART, G-List, etc etc. The interesting part is that I have updated the firmware through an identical ST31000340AS drive. Changed logical boards and fireup the Firmware update O.O Worked and won't destroy any data in the good hard disk. PS: Sorry bad english, I'm exausted and english is not my native language, I'm brazilian so I speak portuguese.
