  1. We have an unattended Vista install using WinPE and using setup.exe /unattended:xmlfile - this works well and the majority of our drivers are installed during phase1 (As defined by Windows System Image Manager). However, we have some misc machines that turn up which did some other drivers installing manually as a one off. When logging on as the local administrator account ("Administrator"), the driver installation begins but generally fails with "access denied". I have even tried running the installers with "run as administrator" - but the same thing occurs. Any thoughts? Thanks in advance
  2. Not sure if the correct place to post this. We have a number of machines that I need to install (unattended of course) - but I would like to connect these machines to some printers which are spawned off a unix box via lpr. I have the following in my unattended.txt : [NetOptionalComponents] ; Install Print Services for UNIX LPDSVC=1 I can then install the printers via the wizard without any problems (printing does work). At this point when looking at the printer and actually trying to configure the port (so that I can see what port was created and is used), I get an lpr message saying that there is nothing to configure for this port. When trying to automate this via cscript "c:\winnt\system32\prnport.vbs" and "rundll32 printui.dll,PrintUIEntry" it is creating a TCP/IP port that is lpr based, but I am unable to replicate what is produced via the wizard. Am I missing something?
