  1. Have you resolved the "sync no surf" issue yet? I had the same issue with sub last week. Tried everything under the sun until I install FireFox. The sub was using IE...after installing FireFox i was able to get online. However I still could not surf with IE. Questions: 1) Your set up is wireless...did you try and connect with Rj45 cable? 2) Can you surf with other PC(s)? 3) Is that PC able to surf on different network? 4) Did you turn off any firewalls that might be blocking access? 5) How is the conectivity...(limited or good)?

    Sp1 question

I slipstreamed sp1a today and everything seemed to work out ok. However I noticed that windows update still had about 22 critical updates. My question is I slipstreamed sp1a(full) is there a way to slipstream all of the updates for sp1. (Windows XP)
  3. ARMY20 Thanks for taking the time to help me.
  4. CRAHAK I appreciate your feed back. However all the solutions in your reply have been implemented before hand. Port forwarding was one of the first things I did when setting up my server. Implying that port forwarding is basic networking is true, if you have a background in networking. But for the average computer user this might be challenging. I have no problem port forwarding my Dlink router but it has more settings to work with. I removed the Dlink because my IAD would then need to be reconfigued by my ISP. The internet feed comes in via cable modem. From the cable modem into the IAD. On the IAD there are three ports. WAN, LAN and PHONE. The WAN from the cable modem is plugged into the WAN on the IAD. The LAN on the IAD was plugged into my Dlink WAN. My phone is plugged into the PHONE port on the IAD. Everything worked great. When I set up my ftp I was unable to connect to it via WAN. But had no problen connecting inside my LAN. So when I started troubleshooting this issue I removed the Dlink. So Cable modem to IAD, IAD to network card, and phone to phone. Even with port forwarding I still can't access my ftp via WAN. This is why I asked my original questions hoping that maybe somebody could help me trouble shoot this issue. My ISP claims not to know how to resolve this matter. I do appreciate the feed back from other members. It gives me a perspective from somebody else which I think can help sometimes. Perhap's there is confusion about the IAD. The IAD is what they call a gateway/router. It is used for my internet phone. It does have an option in setup to port forward, however I'm not sure if the port forwarding really works. The reason I posted all those screen shots was beacuse I thought maybe it might be something else wrong in my set up. Most routers have DMZ option this one does not. Anyway's thanks for your insight. If you could take the time and explain how to remove the screen shots from this thread I would thank you in advance....
  5. Thanks for your help. Over my head also. Maybe it can't be done!!! Thanks
  6. and..... I have removed the screen shots
  7. and I have removed the screen shot
  8. and... I have removed the screen shot
  9. and.. I have removed the screen shot
  10. No DMZ setting with this IAD......... Maybe its something that I have over looked. The next couple of replies are my settings...... Thanks in advance
  11. My IAD is my Voice IP phone. Sometimes called internet phone. Basically it is a router/gateway. I can access the IAD and port forward with it also. I would be glad to print screen the setup......however not sure how to print screen. Thanks
  12. I don't have those options in my IAD........ Port Range.............. Protocol................. DEST address........ Only!!!!!
  13. Thanks for the feed back!!!! Still have same issue.....I Can access the ftp through my (LAN) but can't access the ftp through (WAN). I installed the BPFTP and set it up, however I'm having the same problem I was having with IIS-FTP. Perhaps it has something to do with my IAD. I can access my IAD configuation through 192.168.1.100:8080 and there is a port forwarding option. Even when I configue this no luck. In my IAD(Voice ip phone) there are some options I not sure about. 1) PPPoE does this need to be enabled or disabled 2) IPSEC should any of the tunnel options be enabled 3) Dynamic Routing a)RX mode enabled or disabled b)TX mode enabled or disabled 4) Static Routing should I mess with this settings. a) subnet mask B) gateway ip c) DEST ip address d) metric e) interface i) LAN ii) WAN1 5) Port Forwarding-What is the protocol a)BOTH b)TCP c)UDP Thanks
