  1. The support is about errors in the program itself you must enter your systems specs etc. Do you think, this kind of problem is supposed te be reported there? what do you mean? like, the setup.iss is stored somewhere else for this installer?
  2. rivatuner has the same problem.. So.. the problem lies with the program itself?\ edit: ok.. forget this, rivatuner installs with /S but.. the mistery still haunts on.. 3D Mark 2001SE just won't work
  3. 3D mark 2001 SE uses Install Shield no problem you think.. but when I put the parameter -R behind the file windows doesn't create a setup.iss anyone knows why?
  4. hmm that a good way but can't I make a file, so he'll take every account? no matter what name it is? I'll be glad to hear it, because there are a lot of last names here in Holland
  5. hi I'm using my unattended installation to install new computers with this, useraccounts.cmd is read from the floppy every computer has different user accounts.. so There are some icons I want to remove from the quick launch menu, desktop or start-menu but I want to do this with an batchfile Is there a variable or key, so icons can be removed from every account? (and not in the AllUsers!) tnx
  6. hi I need to boot from a cd, witch can give me a choice if i want to install windows xp or manage my partitions with partition magic is it possible? tnx
  7. Already tried it.. tried 2 different cd's.. It's sad it just won't work.. I don't get it I'll try some stuff out, till someone comes up with a brilliant idea I think nothing's wrong with the .iss file, it's like the reboot lines are forced or something
  8. looked something up: RebootDialog-<#> Result 0 (Result is always 0.) Choice Indicates the "final" reboot selection made before rebooting the machine. Maps to the radio buttons and has these possible values: 601 = "Yes, I want to restart Windows now." (16-bit only) 602 = "Yes, I want to restart my computer now." 0 = "No, I will restart my computer later." so.. the iss file has to work.. I just don't get it I tested it on several computers!
  9. It still doesn't work.. btw, this is the dutch version, does that make a difference? I think the problem is here: [{6811CAA0-BF12-11D4-9EA1-0050BAE317E1}-RebootDialog-0] Result=0 Choice=0 but I tried almost every choice and it still asks!
  10. does nobody knows an answer?? ****.. I really need it!
  11. I want to silently install PowerDVD, this is an OEM cd which you get with an dvd-burner now I created an setup.iss but the setup still asks for an reboot [InstallShield Silent] Version=v6.00.000 File=Response File [File Transfer] OverwrittenReadOnly=NoToAll [Application] Name=PowerDVD Version=5.0 Company=CyberLink Lang=0013 [{6811CAA0-BF12-11D4-9EA1-0050BAE317E1}-DlgOrder] Dlg0={6811CAA0-BF12-11D4-9EA1-0050BAE317E1}-SdWelcome-0 Count=10 Dlg1={6811CAA0-BF12-11D4-9EA1-0050BAE317E1}-SdLicense-0 Dlg2={6811CAA0-BF12-11D4-9EA1-0050BAE317E1}-SdDisplayTopics-0 Dlg3={6811CAA0-BF12-11D4-9EA1-0050BAE317E1}-SdRegisterUserEx-0 Dlg4={6811CAA0-BF12-11D4-9EA1-0050BAE317E1}-SdAskDestPath-0 Dlg5={6811CAA0-BF12-11D4-9EA1-0050BAE317E1}-SdSelectFolder-0 Dlg6={6811CAA0-BF12-11D4-9EA1-0050BAE317E1}-SELECTSKINDIALOG-0 Dlg7={6811CAA0-BF12-11D4-9EA1-0050BAE317E1}-SHOW_CLPV_CLEV_DIALOG-1 Dlg8={6811CAA0-BF12-11D4-9EA1-0050BAE317E1}-RebootDialog-0 Dlg9={6811CAA0-BF12-11D4-9EA1-0050BAE317E1}-SdFinish-0 [{6811CAA0-BF12-11D4-9EA1-0050BAE317E1}-SdWelcome-0] Result=1 [{6811CAA0-BF12-11D4-9EA1-0050BAE317E1}-SdLicense-0] Result=1 [{6811CAA0-BF12-11D4-9EA1-0050BAE317E1}-SdDisplayTopics-0] Result=1 [{6811CAA0-BF12-11D4-9EA1-0050BAE317E1}-SdRegisterUserEx-0] szName=Molen szCompany=Company szSerial=MV39844293845489 Result=1 [{6811CAA0-BF12-11D4-9EA1-0050BAE317E1}-SdAskDestPath-0] szDir=C:\Program Files\CyberLink\PowerDVD Result=1 [{6811CAA0-BF12-11D4-9EA1-0050BAE317E1}-SdSelectFolder-0] szFolder=CyberLink PowerDVD Result=1 [{6811CAA0-BF12-11D4-9EA1-0050BAE317E1}-SELECTSKINDIALOG-0] DefaultSkin=Glow Result=1 [{6811CAA0-BF12-11D4-9EA1-0050BAE317E1}-SHOW_CLPV_CLEV_DIALOG-1] Result=1 [{6811CAA0-BF12-11D4-9EA1-0050BAE317E1}-RebootDialog-0] Result=0 Choice=0 [{6811CAA0-BF12-11D4-9EA1-0050BAE317E1}-SdFinish-0] Result=1 bOpt1=0 bOpt2=0 what option do I need to change, so he will not reboot?
  12. I guess this needs a programs which scans new users and copies the files to those new users can anyone do this?
  13. Put it in C:\Documents and Settings\Default User\Application Data\Microsoft\Internet Explorer\Quick Launch Still doesn't work? I tried it, but it won't appear I think it shows a certain folder and that's C:\Documents and Settings\*UserName*\Application Data\Microsoft\Internet Explorer\Quick Launch, the shortcut doesn't show btw: the Quick Launch folder doesn't exist in the Default User
  14. To add an shortcut to the quicklaunch bar, i've got a few questions about that If I put a shortcut to C:\Documents and Settings\All Users\Application Data\Microsoft\Internet Explorer\Quick Launch, the shortcut doesn't show Is it possible to add a shortcut to all the users that have been created?
  15. The problem is solved! It was my fault all along! The problem was, i've got an useraccounts.cmd this batch file was wrong, so I got an limited account That's why I couldn't access my files en run the batch file! Stupid me
  16. OK.. somehow MS Virtual PC doesn't read my floppy drive and that is where my winnt.sif is located bummer it doesn't work that way..

  18. but after the normal setup when it's copied I can't access files or run programs from it isn't that a little strange I check my hard disk with the diagnostic tool from seagate it says my filesystem is a little F^*^&%*%ed up But only the Install and Drivers folder is screwed.. I don't get it.. btw: I've tried RunonceEX.cmd method too, but on an other computer and stuff but I don't think it will make any difference because I can't fully access my OEM folders
  19. I've got my start.cmd in %cdrom%\$OEM$\$1\Install so that's ok or not? what's very weird is that I can't manually delete C:\Install and C:\Drivers how is that possible?
