    Thanks, have exactly 2gb memory stick. will get back to you when have some results. P.S. Which one do you recommend to try as have never install windows via USB and I am a bit confused of not messing things up?

    hi all, just signed up as couldn't find an answer anywhere. I purchased the IBM thinkpad x31 netbook and now I have to install Win XP. the netbook comes without a CD drive and i do not have an external one and can't afford buying it right now. Don't have a docking station as well. So, was wondering if possible to install windows XP via USB memory stick/flash drive, but need to format the hdd first. Will appreciate any help. thanks
