  1. OK but thanks anyway, Ill try adding the drivers to PE image and see how it works out
  2. Im installing WinXP tried both Home and Pro versions. Will Unattended.txt driver input make any difference since Windows already recognizes the sata driver?
  3. I hope someone can help me with this, I have a problem with Windows PE preInstallations on SATA Harddrives. I can't seem to get it to work, I get a bluescreen everytime. Ive tried installing on computers with a seperate SATA controller and pressed F6 during startup in WinPE, and Ive tried on computers with the SATA controller integrated in the Southbrdige IDE controller where no drivers are needed. Ive tried many different motherboards and harddrives. It goes through the WinPE fase without any problems, the partitioning and installation of configurations sets work excellent. But when it restarts and begins the filecopy I get a bluescreen, and this is on every system Ive tried with a SATA drive. And I might add that Ive done manual installation on these systems and that worked perfectly. Does anyone know whats wrong.
  4. I have a problem with Win XP finding my NIC drivers after WinPe has finished and XP is supposed to load runOnce keys from the server. Ive integrated my drivers in a custom WinPe and it works fine, it can access the server to read my ConfigSets But when the installation is finished and Windows is gonna read the ReadOnce app keys from the wINBOM.ini file of the server it can't access the net since the NIC drivers aren't found in Windows. Ive tried the PnpDrivers... but it just won't install. Is there anyway to integrate these drivers in Windows so it can use the NIC directly after installing?? Desperatly need help.
  5. Since Im doing nework based installation I don't use a Winnt.sif file, instead I use the unattended.txt file, and Yes OemPreInstall is set to yes there.
  6. I have a problem! I install Windows using WinPE network based install. I have integrated NIC drivers for Intel NIC in Windows PE, and all is working well, WinPe can access the server in the first stage and install the configset. Bu it doesnt install the NIC driver in the final installation. hence Windows can not connect to the server and install the "runOnce" components Ive tried putting the drivers in the OEM\$$ catalouge and in Unattended.txt added "OEmPnPDriversPath = \PnP\Net" where PnP\Net is the subfolders in OEM\$$ And it copies the files to C:\Windows\PnP\Net but it doesnt install them. I really need help with this since its really annoying having to install Windows and after that manually installing other drivers and such. Would Appreciat help very much!
  7. Hey all! Does anyone know the silent switch for this Pinnacle Instant CD/DVD 8?? And also, how do U install PowerDVD and Nero Express/OEM so you are prompted to type the CD-Key when u first start the program.
  8. Hey! U know what I had som problems with this aswell but what I learned is that almost all of the INstallations U use the "-s" switch has to be followed by an "-f2" switch. So do all u did like creating .iss file and so on, and then run the Setup with the full switch ex: "Setup.exe -s -f2C:\MyLog.log" it seems the app has to create a log file to be able to install.
