I have had the same problems, plus 1 that's 10 times bigger. I found out that Gmail is also selling/giving away peoples private information to 3rd parties. I have Yahoo email now and get maybe 4-6 spam a day, but with Gmail I was getting HUNDREDS! Once I even woke up to over 1000 spam emails in Gmail. I never subscribed to ANY of it, and all attempts to unsubscribe were met with more spam. And soooo many of them were from those nigerian scams. I never reply to any of them so they have no idea if the email address is valid, but they NEVER stopped. In Yahoo email, they stop after a while. But with Gmail, I think they were kept in the loop along with every other possible site on the internet that sends spam. Why the hell does a female need penis enlargement?!? And kids use Gmail as well. This should concern any parent worth their merit. A LOT of the spam I got in Gmail was prescription drugs, pornography, viagra, invites from whores to visit their sites, and a lot of them had pictures!!! I'm not a parent, but I still don't want porn in my email when I never subscribed or asked for it. If I want porn, I'll set up a camera in my bedroom!!!! I have had no issues with Yahoo email. No lost emails, no spam to speak of, no refused deliveries, no problems with attachments. The ONLY problem I have is the mobile Yahoo email not giving a link to the desktop version.
