takes hell lot of time @greenmachine I am a newbie to registry so i was nervous to make any change in registry...... thats y i first posted this ...........then some how made my mind to change the registry key that i posted in the first post...didnt work so came the second post with a question . Dude now u tell me do i have to change the title after the second post ??? No offences .... i aint here to ignite a flame but just to gain some ryt knowledge from u. Yeah, sure! well i just tried to run that reg....it changed the settings in registry but when when i scan with a-Mac Address changer to see the host name it showed the same old host name any other way ?? help :s

lol too simple ..... but the thing it keeps coming up in start up after i use yahoo messenger even if that option is unchecked ....

hi guys got some questions.... help 1) i converted my fat to ntfs this morning ............ i m just wondering when in what situation are the features encryption n compression useful ... pls someone answer ... 2) one more problem,,,i saved a registry key from win 98 which is obviuosly older version than the current xp .... can i convert it to new vesrion ?? it shows junk characters now.....when opened in notepad its proper the first line in win 98 registry key i saved is REGEDIT4 n in xp in xp reg files its Windows Registry Editor Version 5.00 is this has to do something with it ?? 3) how do i change computer name thru reg n add it to batch file to make batch file add to reg ?
