I have to throw in a Laugh at this one. My friends were the ones that showed me to the dark side Very good point. The norm has been set, and unless some money is willing to be sent out there, the norm will stay set. And as for schools teaching freeware, I mentioned that some of our (the school i work for) software can be replaced by freeware. I am supposed to find which software can be replaced and with what. Thinking I should have kept my mouth shut. Oh well ... maybe if we save some money I will get a christmas bonus But yes all in all its a vicious cycle determined by competing businesses.

More law abiding eh. I think the only way we can do that is live within communism ... the good kind. The pure form of communism is supposed to be like utopia where everyone does there part for the greater of humanity and all this other crap. But greed will always set in and take control ... so unless we live in the world of star trek ... I doubt its ever gonna happen ... or is it. If we can control genetics we can take out the human nature to be greedy or become violent ... and replace it with a gene where if you get angry you go knit a sweater or two, if you get greedy you have this impluse to go give that money away to charities. Cheers buletov, you bring up a great point. Schools are promoting the best software out there. Not only is this a waste of tax payers money ... it puts the students in a tight situation when it comes to finding other software to suit their needs. Usually if you start with a program and try to go to another ... it is difficult change over (well for me anyway). So one either has to get used to a new program, or pirate the software until they deem it necessary (if ever) to purchase that software. So yes ... why arent we being taught the world of freeware? Video games are a whole new category, along with music. Seriously do you need 1000+ songs or 20+ games, no thats just over kill especially if you dont own your favorites. If you find yourself going to a game or song over and over buy the **** thing, support it, tell the world that this is what the consumer really likes.

Alright ... just to clarify things on my side. The below registry file will change the colors to black background and green foreground. Now from what I can tell these colors only apply when I use the shortcut under Start>Programs>Accessories>Command Prompt Am I wrong on this issue, because for the life of me when I go to Start>Run and type command ... the colors arent changed. I think the problems I had were my fault by rushing into something I had no idea what it was. So I guess the software has a few initial setup issues for beginers that need to be addressed before installing the program. Other than that if the manual is read ... should be a smooth install, speaking from installing it on at least 6 systems at work and home (2000,XP,98). Anyway ... I am gonna try this cleanSlate that was mentioned on the first page as soon as i get my "uA" done. PS how you like my signiture?

Featured eh ... hmmm ... so all programs mentioned on the boards are featured eh? *evil grin* I am thinking i should break out a huge list of software in that case Oh well. **** thats alot of testing though. Deep Freeze in your case is worthless, cause it is ment to keep a system in tac over time. Your time period between reformats are a bit too close to even think of using such software. Ah well I encourage you to try again and do tell what happens with that install. For clarification uA is?
