  1. hi i encounter error message "Please insert the disc labeled....." during setup of windows 2000 and windows xp. after searching the forum i saw this message: http://www.msfn.org/board/XP-SP2-unattended-t24845.html the following comment from "aknott" got me thinking: it 's because you missed some files in the root folder of your cd those : -win51 -WIN51ip -WIN51ip.SP1 if you slipstreamed the SP1 -WIN51ip.SP2 if you slipstreamed the SP2 and if you slipstreamed a SP2 over a cd splipstremed by SP1 you need both but regards of your message it asks you for the CD ROM Windows XP Professional without any SP mentioned so it must be the WIN51.ip when i edited both my iso's i saw that he was right. it seems that nlite left out files from xp_cd folder to created iso - there was no error messages in n-Lite. i tried to create a full DVD with a lot of files and folders a little more than 4GB but within dvd size: folders - more than 2000 with long file name (doesnt seem to be issue in previous isos) files - more than 20000 so i compressed my stuff into rar with 8.3 format and recreated the ISO again. folders - 180 files - more than 6700 iso file trimmed to 2715mb the iso file seems to be OK now with all the files inside. i didnt get the error message at setup (ill post if ill get another). to me it seems to be a files/folder number limitation rather than size limitation. I'm using n-Lite 1.4.5 Final . assuming the above i think it would be nice to get message from n-Lite that file/folder limitation exceeded and ISO will be in-complete. thank you tolaat01
