    Turned out to be a scratched CD issue. Pretty sensitive if you ask me, I've had CDs scratched worse than that and still worked, oh well. Thanks all for your inputs and suggestions!

    Thanks guys I'll try all your suggestions. It very well could be a bad CD or CD-ROM because after i set the bios to boot from CD, it will ask me to "Press any key to boot from CD" then hang abit after trying to detect my hardware and thats when i get the error message above. I heard that maybe faulty RAM could also be the culprit? is this true?

    Hi guys, I've reformatted my HD and am trying to reload win XP, but when the computer tries to boot from the CD and goes to the hardware setup I get this error: "INF file txtsetup.sif is corrupt or missing, status 4096. Instalation can't continue" I've done this many times before and have never gotten this error. Can someone help me out?
