  1. Yes it is a nforce mobo by MSI..
  2. that might be the case but I dont want it to switch to half speed when running the computer..If it slows it way down which it does..when I boot up xp under control panel/system it reads half the speed ..now when I go into my bios it wont let me change it back to 2.17 ghz
  3. I have a AMD 3000+ and windows update always says that There is a driver update for my AMD.I have xp pro sp1 now.I know from installing that driver that it cuts my processer speed in half.there isnt NO way I know of to uninstall it.driver rollback dont work nether does system restore.so I ended up reinstalling xp.When I go to install sp2 It automatically installs this driver because SP2 has theupdated drivers that it thinks is best and cuts my speed in half agian..is there some way to ether not install the driver when updating or to slipstream the SP1 processer driver into SP2 before I make a unattended disk? thank you
