you could think about changing the value date in your registry (HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\ControlSet001\Control\Nls\Language) for “Default” and “InstallLanguage” to >0409<, which represents US english. If you set the language in the "Regional and Language Options" to English (US), too, you should be able -maybe after a restart- to install those english updates.
