One could use the following command line to install Windows Live Messenger: wlsetup-all.exe /AppSelect:Mail,Messenger,MovieMaker,PhotoGallery /FastOEM /NoHomepage /NoLaunch /NoSearch /Silent The "/NoLaunch" option doesn't add Windows Live Messenger to the HKCU\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Run registry key after you install it. I don't know if it makes the default action for every new user that runs it after it is installed, tough. The "/FastOEM" option is for those packages which the source and target volumes are the same; "/NoHomepage" doesn't define the Windows Live as Internet Explorer's home page; "/NoSearch" does the same for the search engine; "/Silent" is for silent/unattended installs. The "/AppSelect" is self-explanatory.
