  1. I had this problem and I solved it by using the IEAK6 (Internet Explorer Administrator Kit). You can change settings in IE6 using this tool so it's highly recomended to use for distributing ie6. Select the flat mode only and go through the process of the options...basically just go default with everything unless you want to customize. when this is done, I renamed the \FLAT\WIN32\EN folder to IE6 and then put it in my $oem$\$1\hotfix folder and call on the setup of ie6\ie6setup /Q:A /R:N in the runonceex section before my other hotfixes get ran.
  2. I have put together a unattended 2k installation with slipstreamed sp4 and all the current hotfixes are executed from a batch file from the runonce section. I am experiencing a problem only after the hotfixes are installed, (they all go smooth and nothing errors out), but after the hotfixes are finished, when the system is restarted windows does the windows update which I think is from the ie6sp1, when this update finishes the system doesn't continue loading. I found that I can goto the task manager and run explorer.exe and then it finishes loading, and any restarts after this point works just fine, it's just that one time doing the update it hangs up on finishing booting. Anybody have some insight on what causes this so I can figure out what to change to fix this from happening?
