  1. You have two choices - use WinPE and enable WScript and then use VBScript to call your install or go back to your win98 DOS BOOT disk and use winnt.exe not winnt32.exe to start the build Regards
  2. I may be missing something but I thought GUIRUNONCE runs once the user/administrator logs in for the first time, the errors you are showing look like they are coming from CMDLINES.TXT Regards
  3. Does anybody know if Windows PE supports 802.1x, I am not talking about a wireless card but the physical NIC, for example to access the domain a user must use 802.1x protocol to authenticate with the domain. I know Windows XP SP2 supports it and it is preconfigured but does PE! Regards Steve
  4. All, I have built a DVD that uses WinPe and installs the XP OS and apps that I require, I deceided to also implement a RIS version and have one slight issue. Both builds work but I have a timing issue, on the DVD it boots with factory -winpe sets the display initialises the network card etc all fairly quickly, 30 seconds or so, however the same process from RIS takes nearly two minutes to start the network within PE, this happens on all machines, not just one specific type. - any ideas? I have looked in the WINBOM.LOG and it appears I have a few failures looking for the Winbom.ini (This I think is a seperate issue) it fails three times the picks up the Winbom.ini from RemoteInstall\Setup\English\pexpwinpe\I386\System32 directory, I have placed the Winbom.ini in the pexpwinpe directory and the I386 directory - any ideas why I have the errors in the log file. Thanks Steve
  5. I am having a similar problem, I have an unattended XP build and am calling the Office setup from GUIRunOnce - the source files are located in $oem$/$1/Office11, the install starts but then halts looking for the CC561401.CAB, further investigation reveals that the file has corrupted, if I look on the server where it is pulling the source from it is ok, shows a file inside, if I look on the machine in the C:\Office11 folder for the same CAB it is empty and a different file size, this happens all the time and not just on that file. I do not want an admin install point as will build a DVD that has the complete installation on it and this will be shipped to thousands of users worldwide. Any ideas???? Regards GlobalTech
