  1. I experienced the same problem when trying to use another person's preset removal options for my Dell Mini 9. Chances are, you've removed something Windows 7 needs to complete the setup for your laptop/netbook if you're seeing this. I started from the language packs, since they were biggest, and went down from there. I also integrated my chipset, video, and touch mouse drivers, but it shouldn't matter. I've attached a copy of the preset I created, which successfully installed windows for me. It's likely not as far as you can possibly go, but it 1) works and 2) freed up 3 gb of space w/the paging file turned off (2w/it on), so it was good enough for me. IMPORTANT: One of these items the preset removes is related to the option for turning Windows Features off. If you're too lazy to go through it and figure out which one is inhibiting that feature, but you still want to remove crap like IE8 (after downloading an .exe for a different browser or installing it), or Windows DVD, and Windows Media Player after installation, I recommend using this Take Ownership shortcut tool. In any case, to use the preset, DL it into the "vlite > presets" folder, then once you load windows into vlite, go to "Presets" > Load > filename. Also note that setup will still tell you "Setup will complete after you restart your computer", but you should no longer see the error popup message. Go ahead and restart. It should then complete everything. I hope it works for you. Good Luck! My vLite Preset.ini
