    Hi, Just registered to say thanks for this thread. I've just recovered a BSY 750GB 7200.11 that was inside a FreeAgent external hard drive. After trying a CA-42 cable that matched the exact serial no etc that other people mentioned, I had no luck at all. I'd definitely recommend making sure that you can do the loopback test before even connecting up you hard drive, as otherwise you're wasting your time. The only hitch I had, was after entering 'm0,2,2,0,0,0,0,22', I got no response no matter how long I waited. I had no choice but to disconnect the SATA power (very scary), but upon reconnecting the power and performing the command again, it all worked - no idea why. Thanks again
