  2. If it's not there you can easily create it but that's not the real issue here. Read the relevant section here.
  3. This switch /DisallowSystemRestore doesn't apply to hotfixes, does it?
  4. It's not OEM but $OEM$. For languages, just add the IDs [RegionalSettings] in winnt.sif, e.g. InputLocale = 0809:0809, 0404:0404 (You may need entries under LanguageGroup. See ref.chm.) The partition question has been asked and answered loads of times here. Look at previous posts.
  5. Read the webpage. It tells you how to fix it. The COA is tied to the computer.
  6. ? http://www.msfn.org/board/index.php?showtopic=58858 MS KB810881
  7. This gives you some idea what's all about. http://www.goodells.net/dellrestore/index.htm You cannot legally sell the COA which is tied to the computer.
  8. First you said it didn't see the old HDs: Then you said it sees the HDs: We are trying to answer your question in good faith but if you're posting self-contradictory statements then please don't vent your frustration at us when what we say don't seem to pinpoint your problem.
  9. Sorry I misread your intentions. I thought you asked who has used nLite. WinFuture has already been tried by someone: http://www.msfn.org/board/index.php?showto...mp;hl=WinFuture
  10. Even though you have legit versions, downloading (presumably not your own) versions of XP still isn't legit, is it? Who knows what changes were made to those?
  11. There's an entire nLite forum here you know, under Member Contributed Projects.
  12. Whatever happened in the first place, you changed the RAID setup and that's why you no longer can see what's in the original HDs. To stand any chance of success you have to restore the original RAID config. Even then I'm not sure if it'll work since you've disrupted the RAID. Leaving the drive letter issue aside, doing a repair isn't going to work, because I doubt if Setup can see the old HDs - if it does it'll list it and ask you which Windows you want to repair. It's never a good idea to have RAID 0 with no fault tolerance and not having a regular backup. If you have the RAID drivers on floppy (and you have a floppy drive) you can try putting it in during the press F6 message.
  13. It isn't OEM, but $OEM$. It has to be parallel to i386, not inside, for CD installs.
  14. It applies to any user in XP AFAIK. There's presumably some special system/hidden attribute to this dir but using attrib command won't make it visible in Explorer. I honestly can't figure out why MS wants to do that. What's so secretive about it? But I find it is possible to delete it in cmd. I regularly delete the whole Content.IE5 without any problems. Cleaning out the 4 subfolders still leave the index.dat behind (which still stores your tracks).
  15. I suspect you did something wrong there. What reg key exactly did you edit? You rename what? The account name?
  16. http://www.msfn.org/board/index.php?showtopic=59246&hl=
  17. CD Switch: http://www.msfn.org/board/index.php?showtopic=41821&st=0 Calling a 2nd CD for apps during install isn't booting a 2nd CD, is it?
  18. This one is about launching lE (browser) windows. The original tweak is about launching Windows desktop in separate processes and I'm not sure if it's directly related to running different tasks/multithreading.
  19. Compare the hardware CLSIDs. I think they're different each time when generated, even when you reinstall on the same computer.
  20. Value Name: Administrator is absent by default. Just delete it. It's the same as changing the value to 0 but why leave it there?
  21. Are you talking about local computer or domain?
  22. You cannot view Content.IE5 in Explorer directly when logged in your own account. Everything is lumpled under Temporary Internet Files. You can only see Content.IE5 and its contents when logged in using another account, or offline. This is normal behaviour. With network, trying logging in with another admin account and see. There's no reason to worry as long as you can see it using another account.
  23. DVDs usually contain menus, extras, multiple audio tracks and angles but wmv doesn't support them. I don't know if Canopus allows you to choose which to include. You may have to demux the vob into separate audio and video streams first and make a new mpeg or avi. There're free tools to do that. Windows Movie Maker will at least convert avi to wmv.
