  1. @hclarkjr, My friend has pc with similar soundcard. You shouldn't integrate driver, cause latest version won't integrate properly. Besides there is software You need to install along with driver to get full advantage of Your card and this can not be done solely by driver integration. Software part can not be installed separately, so anyway You need full install of package after fresh install of XP Ryan is angry on me as I posted topic not related posts in his thread, don't take it to Your heart, nothing personal. OemPnPDriversPath

    Hey? No one uses intelinf???
  4. Hi again, This error is the cause of Your services adjustment. WMP 10 let's You turn them off, WMP11 directed to faster and better external devices connectivity. That's why it does not ask if You need those services or not, just creates dependency. You need to modify wmp files to be able to disable upnphost service. But here I can not help You, work for real profees. Hey guys, help Good luck, Alex
  5. Hi man, You got this error not because You disabled dcom, but because all those servises (SSDP and UPNPhost) are needed for media player 11. You can disable by default only this one (network) service. It will not invoke dcom error. But each time You start media player it triggers upnphost and this service starts ssdp. You need to remove service dependency with regedit but even after that You will be able to disable only ssdp, but upnphost will start and stop each time You will start wmp11. So You can not disable this service but it won't take Your resourses. Good luck, Alex

    OemPnPDriversPath

Hi all, OemPnPDriversPath="drivers\IntelINF" How to modify this path in winnt.sif that folder would be put not just to C:\, but to C:\Program Files\Intel Is it that simple: OemPnPDriversPath="C:\Program Files\Intel\drivers\IntelINF" or OemPnPDriversPath="%Program Files%\Intel\drivers\IntelINF" Thank You for help, Alex
  7. Hi all. Thanks for the mirror, @hp38guser Could You post a code as well. I see You online, pls don't get angry... Alex
  8. @Lemonzest on navstart I've already posted, let's hope nuhi will collect all bugs and fix them at once. Alex
  9. Dear nuhi, Could You separate outlook express and address book in next release? Or it's too much of trouble? Thank You, Alex
  10. Dear hp38guser, Could You post new code again? No build leaked or ever will leak from me. But it's so great to build installer for yourself. Thank You for this. If there wou;d not be any possibility to post it on website could You send it to my mail... Would be great! No problems with previous build! What they are updating? No info so far... Good wind, Alex
  11. Hi nuhi, Tested nlite 1.21 with those options: integrated installer hotfix 3.1 and that's all. No drivers, addons, nothing, so install takes 10 minutes. Permissions are not in place so I add them manually HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Installer 4. On the Edit menu, click Permissions. 5. In the permissions for Installer dialog box, click Administrators in the Group or user names list, and then make sure that the Full Control permission is set for the Administrators group. If this permission is not set, click to select the Full Control check box under Allow. 6. Click OK. 7. Repeat steps 5 through 6 for the SYSTEM group. 8. Repeat steps 5 through 6 for the Everyone group. Tested nlite 1.01 and integrated only installer. Everything is fine, permissions are in place. So it looks like nlite problem... What is wrong? Can You fix that in next version? Pls test that Youself, it's quick. Thank You, Alex
  12. Easy to check. Made cd with 1.2.1 and integrated only installer. Made the same with 1.0.1. With first disc permissions are missing, with second in place. The same problem was with one of ealier versions of nlite 0.99bx. Relatively small bug, but anyway, pls fix it nuhi. It can have impact on installations and cause probs. Alex
  13. @rado354 Check if You have those permissions and post back, because if not, that means installer is integrated improperly. HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Installer System and Admins - Full Control Everyone- Read HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Installer\Compo nents System and Admins - Full Control Everyone- Read HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT System and Admins - Full Control Everyone- Read HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT\.pip System and Admins - Full Control Everyone- Read HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT\Installer System and Admins - Full Control Everyone- Read HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT\Installer\Components System and Admins - Full Control Everyone- Read HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Classes System and Admins - Full Control Everyone- Read Alex
  14. Yes, installer integration seems improper to me too, I pmed to nuhi, still no answer on that. Even if it integrates which is my case, still some permissions are missing. Let's hope nuhi will take care of that. Alex
  15. Hia again, I remember that small bug with ealier versions of nlite HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Installer 4. This helps skip mistakes while opening exel or word files in explorer. Why those permissions are skipped? Can You reply on that? Alex
  16. Hi nuhi, IE7 integration is just brilliant, thank You very much. 2 questions: 1. file for start navigation is missing. Is it the small mistake and it's easy to tune to navstart, o there is new sound file by design in IE7 or no sound at all for start mavigation? 2. I remember that small bug with ealier versions of nlite HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Installer 4. This helps skip mistakes while opening exel or word files in explorer. Why those permissions are skipped? Can You reply on that? Fanatstic job!!! Thank You very much, Alex
  17. @jcarle does integrater cabs files, or is doing the same as command /integrate? Is there a selection of components to integrate? I personally do not need this use mode driver framework which was always disabled in services. As well can You remove Windows Media Player Network Sharing Service from integration? Notice that each time wmp11 starts it calls to the server and starts Universal Plug and Play Device Host service even though I do not connect anything. This was not the case with wmp10. Can You disable that? Would be very nice, Thanks in advance for Your answer, Alex
  18. \i386 \$OEM$\$$\System32\wmdrmsdk.dll, mfplat.dll Code for working wmp11 integration. Works flawlessly!!! Take those two files from wmp11 installer. Integrate 4 .exe files from unpacked installer. The smallest one will be integrated automatically. Use normal install sequence for integration. You can skip driver framework integration as it is unnecessary crap. Good wind, Alex
  19. @boooggy, Tested your wmp11 addon for 2 days (vanila and tweaked) and can say for sure the integration is BAD. Try watching movies and you will see that resize does not work properly. Fit player to video on start is NOT working as it should. Player works like after hacked beta install I tried once. Only legit install does not give this error. At the beginning I thought it was MS fault, but after installing full version normally I found it works as expected. All those suggestions to install WMP11 without validation with a few reboots will give the same fault as this hacked integration. So the question is - can You fix it???? Surely good that You removed this network service from wmp11, but wmp still checks to server every time You start it. This check starts 2 services at least: Universal Plug and Play Device Host and SSDP Discovery Service which You cannot remove with Nlite so you should be able to check it. As well under certain configs this can start telephony and Remote Access Connection Manager services what is absolutely unacceptable. If those services are disabled You will get dcom error in event viewer. All this behaviour is not the case in WMP 10. I believe nobody needs to put those resourses for wmp11 and would be nice if You could take a closer look at this. Why wmp11 needs to start Universal Plug and Play Device Host? Most probably to connect all those ext devices. But why it should start each time even if I just want to launch player? I am using xppro sp2 original so nothing what could amaze You. One more interesting finding for legit users. Try to delete any exe component from unpacked wmp11 and install (not runtimes and player itself) and You will find it installs all what You wanna leave. This is just great. And let presume that this call for Universal Plug and Play Device Host is done by player component. Good luck to all, Alex
  20. hi boooggy, quick question, Can You disable wmp11 triggering a server and so activating 2 services nobody needs upnphost and ssdp discovery. This happens each time I start wmp 11. If services are disabled I got dcom error. Or removing wga check removes this server triggering too? That would be great. Let us know, ok? Respect, Alex
  21. Hi all, If I remove wmp9 with nlite (leaving 6.4), will I be able to install wmp 11 after xp install? Does support for wmp extends to 11 or ends on 10? Thanks, Alex
  22. Hi all, Integration is working fine for IE7, but in general IE makes something to shell response time, because after starting certain progs (ex. cleaners) I must wait till they end tasks. Otherwise taskbar is not responding to clicks. Just try it and You will see. It;s NOT nLite flaw, IE7 I quess. But for what hell? IE6 has no such probs. Alex
  23. Once more, thank You, again very simple and maybe that"s why hard to figure out (when You need just to empty field) Even managed to add reg tweak for short lead out. And NOW it seems very easy!!! Completely happy!!! And You made me feel this way! Installer of my dreams is already compiled and tested. Hurray!!! All the best, Alex
