Hi all, Tested 1.0 with vista x64. Ram usage comparing with vista x32 is 20% higher and even after vliting is up to 50%. 3 drivers are missing from hp support, not essential, but anyway. Same mistakes as with vista x32: LSM and distributed COM (only on rebooting). Additionally could remove only performance counters and monitor comparing with previous build. Stable, solid work of system. Unattended is great, saves time. Some questions: 1. If mark skip user creation, will system use full name, or will put Administrator? 2. Why remove Aero? Without t no point using Vista, cause windows are opening as FRAMES and that looks terribly ugly. On older mashines prefer to stay with XP. 3. Did not get any difference between x32 and x64, exept higher ram and cpu usage. What those 64 bit do? Is it better for eyes or else? I see no diff. Can some one explain shortly? 4. How much of space future language removals can save? Can it reach 100mb as with xp. Would be nice to get vista on cd, not dvd. Thank You, Nuhi, soft is just great. Tried reinserting new drivers feature and it works flawlessly. Can we expect tcpip patch and directx integration? I believe with language removal that are most expected features in the future version of vlite. Would be nice to get some short replies from experienced users around. Time to sleep, Alex

nuhi, Found this article by chance. Could it be possible, that vlite would do .xml and we could put it on usb flash to instruct dvd what to install? Would be revolution as there would be no need ti rebiuld!!! Pls answer, maybe in future versions you are planning to do that? Hi all, Integrated new ati driver and everything working just fine. System up time is 12 sec and whole instalation (tests removed) took only 12 minutes. Faster than xp! Would be nice to get tcpip patch in next version, or reg entries to do it manualy. Do not know how to search in google, maybe someone using ati radeon for longer time knows reg entries to change display resolution to centered from full screen WITHOUT catalyst center instalation. Ati tray tools do not work in vista.... Would be much of help, thanks in advance! lsm event is the only annoyance is this new system so far. vLite rules!!! Alex

Hi nuhi, I am in vLite boat!!! Tested new vlite and iso size droped from 1100mb to 850. Would be nice to get more languages removed. On hp nx9420 vista ultimate just flies, thank You. Driver integration just fine, if i get it corectly it is possible to remove integrated drivers and integrate new ones? Event log shows certain problems with atl driver, but as it is beta, it should be ok. Registry - certain restictions on permissions of removed speech recognition support are vssible, but too many leftovers and using registry healer is dangerous, as vista cannot boot fully after clean up. Additional restrictions on leftovers are needed. One event in event log seems unclear: event id 1050, LSM Registering with Service Control Manager to monitor Terminal Service status failed with The specified service does not exist as an installed service, retry in ten minutes. Maybe this service was removed with speech recognition support? Thanks for new adventure, This one LOOKS very nice in Aero. Alex

Hi all, 1.3 is fine, installer permissions in place, but unattended stll have bugs. Why we need user name and full name if owner info is separate? What is the difference bettween user name and full name and where nlite is using rhem? Apart from this soft is just great, thanks nuhi. Alex

Hi nuhi, tested nlite 1.3 rc2 with brand new sony vaio tx series and unattended still using full name as user name. ??? Why? Is it very difficult to fix that? Maybe it is better to leave remane admin account separately as it was in previuous versions? All other things seems to be in place. Will check installer permissions at home and post then again. @nuhi, Can confirm that erasing media before direct burn does not work. Unattended is using full name, not user name added. (Aleksandras, not Alex) So I made new cd and after install I can not log in as I do not know password for my full name and username password I entered for Alex does NOT work... Sad, very sad... Alex

@ nuhi, I tick to delete all integrated drivers after install. Is it possible to leave one integrated driver for printer undeleted so xp would find it when I connect the printer to the notebook later on? Maybe I can simply add those files to keep box? Would it work? If not, could You consider it as feature request, please? Separation of address book and outlook express would be very appreciated, too. Thank You in advance, Alex

After extended testing of nlite 1.21 it is still unclear what makes the difference on permissions of 3.1 installer after nliting. I have dell sp2 original disk (meaning sp was integrated by dell, not slipstreamed by me) and xp sp2 corp XP2_PRO_ENG VRMPVOL_EN If difference between them is only in branding, drivers and upgrade capabilities (found on web), why nlite works fine with corp and does not properly put permissions on installer on dell xp files after nliting? Does it mean that basic system files are different in those versions? 'Upgraded' by dell to work better with dell machines? Can some one confirm that? But with 1.01 version both versions nlited and integrated installer hotfix the same way - correctly putting permissions of installer. Most probably You removed sounds with nlite, check Your preset.
