  1. Hi, I wanted to make a checksum-identical ISO as MSDN one for MS Windows 2003 Enterprise Server R2 SP2 VLK (POLISH) and since I have been only able to lay may hands on: English Enterprise R2 Retail SP2 English Enterprise R2 VLK SP2 Polish Enterprise VLK SP0 Polish Enterprise R2 Retail SP2 MSDN ISOs I decided to try making such image on my own. And there is the thing. After comparing EN VLK and EN Retail images the only difference is in these files: I tried to use files from Polish SP0 version but quickly realised that even if I did everything right: I used cdimage to make ISO "cdimage.exe -lCRMEVOL_PL -t03/21/2007,12:00:00 -n -xx -o -bboot.img CRMEVOL_PL CRMEVOL_PL.ISO" The size was right but checksum different. I hex-compared oembios.bi_ in EN VLK SP2 and PL VLK SP0: As you can see VLK files are the same in compressed files, the only thig that is different are these red colored bytes, so I had to find out how header of MS CAB archive is built and from SDK i know that in that offsets data is as follows: So now I know that its date, time and file attribute. At first I thought that makecab takes modify date to place in 036h-037h offset but it's a creation date, to be sure i changed creation date using TC and the record was different. Ok, let me get to the point, as I said I dont't have acces to the R2 VLK SP2 PL ISO so I don't know what are the creations dates for these compressed oembios.**_ files and all I need from someone who has the ISO, or access to it to give me these dates. To view the compressed files I used 7zip and noticed that even if we compress file taht has lets say creation date 24/09/2009 and modify date 25/09/2009 since makecab takes only creation date, that is the only one shown in 7zip. as you can see for yourself the date in 7zip is shown as modification date, but it's creation date taken from file when compressed and thats what I need. For anyone that can help, heres the file on MSDN: Don't unpack these files, just give me creation dates, times (modify shown in 7zip). Thanks in advance and sorry if I sound complicated or made any mistakes.
