  1. Thank you, BtS There was a complete recipe, not surmises
  2. Thanks, prathapml, you're right. I mean exactly the installation INFs modding with such kind of effect after installing the system. The base principle of this modding seems to be took from the WinPE.
  3. Sorry. But definitely I've seen somewhere some tricky instructions on making the Default User built-in Administrator after installing the system. Or some similar subject... It's not a regular tool, it is a very hack.
  4. Please help me. Sometimes I've seen them here.
  5. Mea culpa! **** my imprudence What must be done to revert the OS to it's original state? Getting the Windows Activation message: some error preventing WIndows to check the license, error code 0x80070002, and the system goes to log off. So I have no access to desktop.
  6. Yes, it's correct C:\SYS\WIN
  7. I entered SYS\WIN manually, continued the Windows setup and ... finally, I get the same red errors as described before
  8. It seems that your advice is not good. Changed to TargetPath="C:\SYS\WIN" I get the following setup error message: The folder name you typed is not valid. Make sure the folder name is not the root folder and does not contain any consecutive backslash characters. Also make sure the folder name follows the standard MS-DOS rules. To continue. press ENTER. Setup will prompt you to enter a different folder name.
  9. Having just installed Windows 2003 with some winnt.sif floppy based tweaks I get inappropriate app messages like this or this Using TargetPath=\SYS\WIN ProgramFilesDir=\SYS\Programs CommonProgramFilesDir="\SYS\Programs\Common Files" ProfilesDir="C:\SYS\USERS\" SFCDllCacheDir="c:\SYS\Relocated\CACHE\Dllcache" where am i wrong? I have a successful working Windows XP instance installed with the same tweaked winnt.sif
