  1. Dude, you're not helpless. Go on Newegg. Find some cases in your price range. Read the reviews. Google the model of the case and read reviews from other places. It's not hard. You can do research for yourself, too.
  2. Make sure all screws are in tight and make sure there is no option to choose VGA or DVI. Also, read the LCD manual and make sure you got the right type of DVI cable as there are three variations.

The X-Connect has had problems in the past with oversupplying power to components, causing failure at times.
  4. Just remember that for the Opteron, you need ECC RAM, which goes for more money than non-ECC RAM. You also need a motherboard for them. The problem with the motherboards in this case are that most of them are server motherboards, therefore more expensive.
