update: i ended up getting am iso of vista and now have vlite working i was testing a configuration in virtualbox and the programme won't boot after instalation and reports hal.dll is missing, any ideas on how this could happen? did i remove it when i was removing features?

there were no .swm files at all, and like 4 boot.wim is there anything i can do short of downloading a .iso? (i thought i would add a .txt of the disks file tree if that would help at all) tree.txt

Hi i am trying to use vlite with the "windows vista external recovery media" that came with my msi laptop. and it keeps giving me the error message "cannot find the expected instalation files" when i browse the vista dvd i just want to ask where on the DVD are the vista install files located?
