  1. Im trying to create a unattended install of Office 2003 and i can create the $oem$ folders and such. My problem is with the batch file to make the install run. I'm using the one that was posted in the forum: ECHO. ECHO Installing Office 2003 Professional with Frontpage ECHO Please wait... start /wait %systemdrive%\install\Applications\Office2003\setup.exe TRANSFORMS=Unattended.MST /qb- That's it! i dont think im putting it in the right place when i burn the cd. Also, is there a way to make this unnattend install have an auto run so it would truly be unattended?
  2. it worked.. booted xp pro from the floopy's then put the cd in and got the os to install. thank you so much for all your help. sorry about not responding quicker.
  3. i just checked the memory stick inside the laptop and it was 512... the person who was trying to fix this before me used 98 bootdisks and boot up through the floppy, but nothing else. so when i got the machine, i see the Windows 98 screen flash (from the boot disk) when i booted off the 98 cd i was in dos mode. dont know how to install OS from dos.
  4. so maybe its just a memory issue. but what does the Memory OVerflow error mean?
  5. i think it has 64 mb. install xp from boot disk? think using another os would be better like w2k pro? but through boot disk. as for the cdrom it was the usb cd rom i got the machine to boot from, then i got that memory overflow error. when i tried w/ the internal cd rom i got a message that it couldnt find the Boot Sector from the disk. not reallly sure how old the machine is but all i know is that it was made by eBuddie. never heard of them. would fdisk work.
  6. I have a eBUDDIE laptop and the cd rom does not seem to be working. when i put the xp disc in and it does the PRESS ANY KEY TO BOOT FROM CD. so i hit the ANY key (jk) and then i get a error: MEMORY OVERFLOW so then i got a usb Iomega cdrom and tried find a usb boot disk, then found out that you have to create one urself. then i found in the bios that it supports booting from a usb cdrom but when i tried that it frooze or i got another error. Any help on this matter would be much appreciated. Thanks!!!
