Are you working on or considering a "lited" Windows 7?
  2. Nuhi, not sucking up here, but I have been using your utility xpLite since I first found version 0.9x. so I'm pretty confident in my abilities with your software. I bought a legit copy of Vista Ultimate X86 which came with an X64 copy as well. I am using vLite to trim the FAT from Vista. I have to tell you, Micro$oft could learn a lot from you. Anyway, here's a break down of my system: Asus P5N32SLI-E, Intel Core2 Quad 2.66GHz, 4GB RAM, BFG Tech GT9800 PCI-E Video Card, Nvidia Teaming NIC's, Western Digital SATA 200GB Disk Drive(s) (2), No Raid, DVD Re-writers, Hauppauge USB-PVR2, Creative Audigy LS. Lemme see, I think that's about it. I am using nVidia Drivers for the video card (196.21), the Network Adapters (15.51) w/ Network Access Manager, and System tools (6.03). For Win-TV I am using v.6 and for the Audigy card I am using v5.12.1.2020, basically just the drivers NO other creative crap. Here's the problem I'm having, The system works GREAT! And it's **** fast, I think you'll see that when you look at my config file. I have cut out a lot of garbage I'll never use, or believe I need. I still have Windows Update because I quickly realized I couldn't install some drivers with out it (kinda stupid actually). I do not have Windows Update looking for drivers, when I did and tried to download and install the updates (at the time there were 88 critical updates) everything seemed fine til reboot. The computer would shutdown stating completing updates stage 2 of 3 DO NOT TURN OF YOUR COMPUTER. All is well til it reboots, then it says installing updates stage 3, when it got to 100% complete, instead of going to my desktop, the computer would reboot and say installing updates stage 3, when it got to 100% complete it would reboot AGAIN and again it would say the same thing, over and over non-stop. Very frustrating to say the least. I could not bring it up into "Safe Mode" or boot the "Last Known Good" it would just keep saying installing updates stage 3, etc. etc..I have included my "Last Session.ini" file with the hope that you can tell me which service, driver(s), option, etc. I may have left out that could be causing this. I am NOT a big fan of updates, but I figured I got a legit copy of Vista, might as well take advantage of this service, at least I can select which updates I want. At this time I have NOT selected any. Pee Ess: does anyone know where I can find (or how I can trick) my Hauppauge USB-PVR2 to use 64 bit drivers on an Intel Processor, I know there are 64 bit drivers for the AMD, but I don't have one of those. I would like to install my copy of Vista x64 but Hauppauge doesn't support 64 bit drivers for the USB-PVR2 on an Intel platform. And no I'm not interested in a Dual-Boot Scenario. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Papa_Zit Last Session.ini
