  1. Hi everyone, I am using WPI for unattended installation & I am trying to copy a file to current user profile, in application data folder using the "%APPDATA%" command in the winrar sfx. Instead of copying the file to %APPDATA% of the current user profile, the files are created under C:\WINDOWS\system32\config\systemprofile\Local Settings\Application Data Can anyone guide me what am I doing wrong? Thanks.
  2. Sorry I forgot to mention that I tested it with Win 7 Ultimate. I don't want the UI that's why i have used /qn /norestart. Will try your switch also and c if it works or not. may be it has something to do with the windows versions.
  3. The popup windows is time based. It closes automatically by itself in few seconds. So doesn't matter to me. But completely silent installation is not being carried out by KIS 2011.
  4. Hi all, I have been trying to copy a file from %wpipath% to current users %appdata% using winrar sfx. But the file does not seems to copy to "Application Data" folder. Instead it creates a folder names %APPDATA% in program files. Can any help me what am I doing wrong. "Sorry for the addition guys. The file is being copied perfectly fine on my local machine but its not working while installing with WPI on a Vmware." Thanks. So far I have tried the following methods: 1. I tried to copy the file by making a winrar sfx and extracting it to %APPDATA%. (Doesn't seem to work. It creates folder named %APPDATA%/myfile in program files) 2. I tried to copy the file with {filecopy} or xcopy which also doesn't seem to work for me (It just copies myfile to %systemdrive%/myfile instead of copying it to %APPDATA%/myfile) If you need any further information about error or specific error message let me know.
  5. Thanks Sp0iLedBrAt. I will try it and post it back on how the installation goes.
  6. Hi, I am trying to install kaspersky internet security 2011 silently with msiexec.exe /i "path to KIS 2011" /qn switch but it still pops up window at the end asking for the activation. Can anyone tell me how can I overcome this window & how can I install it silently? This is for the reference that I extracted the original .exe file and installing with .msi installer using msiexec /i & /qn switches Thanks.
