  1. I recently upgraded a windows 2000 server to a new machine windows 2008 server 64 bit. Installed Microsoft Office 2003 There is a word document on the desktop, named Test.Doc and it has the normal Word icon. I double-click on it and Word starts up, but does not display the document. There is a dialog (frustratingly, hidden behind the Word window) that says: Windows cannot find 'C:\Users\smccabe\Desktop\test.doc'. Make sure you typed the name correctly, and then try again. What the heck is going on? I'm also having trouble getting Word automation to work, but maybe once I fix this problem, the others will go away. ---Selden
