    Cannot record record is what it says when I try to create a new macro. If I go open the IDE all the options are disabled. Can't do anything.

    Is there a way to enable and disable certain applications from VBA? I"ve got a computer that can access VBA from Word but not Excel. Can someone shed some light on this for me?
