  2. Hello, all. I wanna ask is it possible to create a multiboot USB Flash for install? Lets say WinXP+Vista32/64+Win732/64 on the same USB Flash!? Tnx in advance.

    Hello

I also would like to make a Multiboot like yours, especially W7x86/64, please could you tell me if you found a good guide

    Thanks

  3. Thanks Computerguru and Calboy

A good post for me bacause, I did not know WinPE and how to use, now I have begun to understand it, thank you very much.

Computerguru I did exactly what you wrote and I got the following files and folders C \: WinPEx64 \, ISO, Mount, efisys.bin, efisys_nopromptbin, etfsboot.com, winpe.wim

    C: \ WinPEx64 \ ISO \ boot, EFI, sources, bootmgr, bootmgr.eti

I do not know if the above is correct

I have some doubts. The third line does not work for me, I was checking the help of imagex, seems to be missing something and know you are doing that line

    C: \ program files \ windows aik \ tools \ amd64 \ imagex.exe C: \ winpex64 \ iso \

    could explain please.

When I opened winpe.wim saw was only the Program Files folder, but it was not the x86 Program Files folder, in the case would have to manually adding tp W7x64 or is there another method.

Calboy your guide will be of great help to me, really I do not want to add many applications to my image would occupy much space, I prefer to use WPI, anyway I will test installing Photoshop CS4, I'll let you know the results of the installation.

    Thanks

  4. So I figured out my problems with my image.

Apparently if I installed Daemon tools the setup didn't like it. So after i syspreped the setup couldn't continue. Anyone else had this problem or found a solution? Apart from this it works great! :D Just have to use the -u1 command for my image. You should mention that in your guide computerguru. Thanks!

Hello CalBoy, you can restar ur pc before syspreped and Daemon will continue, after that u can syspreped ur image.

I hope that helps, good luck

  5. :thumbup Oh my God, you are a genius my friend. The HKCU, all were installed correctly, I have to check to see because the Scripts folder was not deleted.

I'll try winintegrator to see if my drivers working, ah I check my integrated drivers and they all say "inbox: No", actually I do not know the meaning.

You say I can use clean.cmd with firstlogoncommand, but my fear with that method is to delete the script folder before setcompete.cmd running and thus not install the Regs., Maybe I have to give some order, in that case what order value I would give it

Thanks for your help. I'm waiting for his new post

Note: Could you check the attachs, and tell me if they are ok

    Thanks in advance

    SetupComplete.cmd

    tweak2.reg

    W7x64

    a)selected generalize checkbox

    b)No $w-bt n $w-ls

    c)Preinstalled App. & Tweaks, "OK"

    d)Updates integrated using WAIK, "ok"

e)Drivers integrated using WAIK, "no working"

    f)HKCU now are not installed

    What do you think

Note I puted a HKCU reg using firstlogoncommand in my Autounattend n working fine

  7. I've used different variations of your imagex command. None of the variations I try are working. I can ran the setup from my computer, and I have recreated the image many times with no change. Is there a limit to the .wim size? I didn't think there was but using windows setup might mean something different. My .wim is the correct place, I've checked plenty of times.

    Please help!!

    Thanks Calboy.

From what I've see in ur attachment I can assuming u're :

    1. Using Gimagex to capture ur windows installation, use imagex (non GUI) from WAIK, it's been an issue that gimagex is having trouble in xml specification (such as servicing stack etc).

    2. If u're using imagex, u've mistakenly set the flags of the image, for an example ULTIMATE, the command should be:

    "imagex /compress maximum /flags ULTIMATE /capture z: d:\install.wim "Your Image Name" "Your Image Description" /check /verify" or

    "imagex /compress maximum /flags "Ultimate" /capture z: d:\install.wim "Your Image Name" "Your Image Description" /check /verify"

    Note : "/check" n "/verify" it's usefull for wim integrity checking.

    3. If ur install.wim is bigger than 4 GB, use UDF for the DVD image.

    Hello ar_seven_am

when u talk to the DVD image ur referring to the ISO file that is made using oscdimg.exe. Could you explain to me that means UDF or tell me where can I read about UDF, I'm sorry my ignorance.

    Thank you in advance

  8. Ok, here are my results

1)No $windows-Bt and $Windows-LS (Computerguru could you in the point 15 add "select the generalize checkbox")

2)All pre-instaled applications and tweaks are OK

    3)HKCU tweaks no working

    4)Removed SCRIPTS folder in windows

Thank you for your work and your time, I'm going to try using registers instead of tweasks, I'll post back my results. Could you tell me where are the images that appear in the phase of completing the installation, to change it, because the images which I had changed are lost, I believe that the generalize checkbox put the default images and not my images, could u help me.

    Thanks

  9. Hello

I used your tweaks, I'm sorry I did not know they had tweaks for x32 and x64, I just learned something new for me, anyway not installed in the case of x64,however the tweaks were set using an image that was not created using sysprep, The folders Bt and LS are not found in windows, but the scripts folder still there :hello: . Could you give me some idea where can be the error. Am going to create another image again and I'll post my results back here.

Let me a question, is there to select the generalize checkbox? becasuse i dont select it.

    Thanks

    Yesnovato

    Hello Computerguru

The same problem, now i test with my x64 tweaks, it doesn't work and I get the $windows-bt and $windows-ls at C:\ i dont know what is the problem, I follow the tutotial. Please could you help me. Thank in advance

  11. Hello Computerguru

    Resuts using VMware:

1)Image W7x86, all Tweaks were successfully installed, but the Scripts Folder remains in windows/setup. I don't know why the following folders appeared C:\$windows-LS and C:\windows-BT

2)Image W7x64, any tweaks were installed, Scripts folder remans and the above folders

Really I don't know why is working fine in x86 but not x64. Please let me know if I need to test something different.

    Thanks

  12. Thank you Computerguru for reply, I'll try ur first method and I'll let u know that happened, I'm sure everything will work correctly. Let me see if I understood well what u mean.

    startnet.cmd = 1st reg where is RunOnce

Tweak file = 2nd reg you wrote

    1.REG = My HKCU reg

All will be located Sources\$OEM$\SETUP\SCRIPTS\3 reg files

    Question

Who is "Final" and once ran the scripts as can I delete it so it will not be in c: \ windows\setup\scripts. Thank you very much for ur time, I don't know absolutely nothing about programming and codes, but if can help at least in testing can u count on me. Thanks and hope your next POST

Thanks Yesnovato for your quick response. I think you shouldn't be frustrated, what you (and I) have done isn't programing, it's just a fun and trying to make our operating system according to our sweet wil, so don't judge yourself as a less quality person, just keep practising and it will make you perfect (not a programmer, but a person who knows what he wants to do).

You are a bit wrong. Also I was wrong the file STARTNET.CMD WON'T BE STARTNET.CMD it is SETUPCOMPLETE.CMD(CORRECT THIS, OTHERWISE YOUR SCRIPT WONT WORK, sorry for this silly mistake) I'm calling my 1.reg file from setupcomplete.cmd (setupcomplete.cmd is a command script, not registry script), 1.reg file saves RunOnce entries to be executed. tweaks.reg is your (or my) HKCU reg. RunOnce execute the following command to merge your HKCU REG (TWEAKS.REG) to registry.

    "regedit /s C:\\windows\\setup\\scripts\\tweaks.reg"

1.reg file just saves the RunOnce entry to registry to merge tweaks.reg(HKCU REG).

To delete the folder, you have to add another RunOnce entry. For example I'm attaching your required 1.reg, tweaks.reg(HKCU REG), setupcomplete.cmd.

Note that you will have 2 reg files and a .cmd file on your C:\windows\setup\scripts directory (1.reg, tweaks.reg, setupcomplete.cmd). You need tweaks.reg(HKCU REG) file at c:\windows\setup\scripts directory when runonce is executed, so the command to remove the directory should be executed via runonce after merging tweaks.reg. Just right click my attached 1.reg file, select edit and you'll find the commands (including command to deleting c:\windows\setup\scripts). You shouldn't be worried about the final script to keep it out from c:\windows\setup\scripts.

If you still can't understand post it very soon.

    Hello

Thanks for your great help and for your time, I tried in my W786 Laptop using your tweak.reg and all were successfully installed, but not deleted the Sripts Folder. I know u have little time but when u have it please could u put each tweak does, or tell me where to read about what makes each of them. Excuse my ignorance. Today when I get home I will test on my Main PC W7x64. Thank you so much

Note: All test were using VMware

  14. h) Could you explain a little more of V2P and how to mount the image in z: In VMware

Excuseme but from this point I do not understand anything, I run WAIK but I think in my case I can not put the same command

    "imagex / compress fast / check / flags "Ultimate" / capture z: d: \ install.wim "Windows 7 Ultimate" "Windows 7 Ultimeate x86"

1st) who is z: and besides I have not d:> Could I write

    "imagex / compress fast / check / flags "Ultimate" / capture c: \ install.wim "Windows 7 Ultimate" "Windows 7 Ultimate amd64"

I think u've mistakenly put some space in imagex command, the correct command is "imagex /compress fast /check /flags "ULTIMATE" /capture z: d:\install.wim "Your Name Image" "Your Description Image"

If u want to mount virtual drive in vmware, u could check via windows explorer n point to ur vmware project folder, right click *.vmdk file n choose map virtual drive or u can use mapping virtual drive via vmware itself after point to ur project, right click n choose setting, choose ur drive setting n right click n choose map virtual drive, just be sure u map the right volume disk (if u've make 2 disk partition in the first setting).

    Hope it help u!

    Regards

Thank you ar_seven for reply, I can fix the problem and you are right. Thank you

  15. Hello Computerguru and all body here

Thank you for your guide, I was able to clarify all doubts least startnet, and I do all the steps without any kind of problem and the installation of w7 with all my Apps and tweaks were very fast. Now I am waiting for your 2nd post. The only thing left to do is install the HKCU tweaks using startnet.cmd. If you or somebody in this wonderful forum has an example or guide on how to use startnet.cmd and where put it in the image, please let me know. Thanks in advance

  16. Thanks Computerguru a good guide.

Excuse my ignorance, but I am a newbie in programming, really I don't know anything about codes, but I want to make my own image.

    a) I use 64-bit, my machine has only one hard drive (C: \) and the original image is in C: \ W7en

    B) The VMware virtual machine version 7.01

    c) Question in step 9b are 2 processors and 1 core or 1 processor and 2 cores.

    d) In step 9c, in Advance I do not find anything that says independent & persistence

    e) Step 9d OK

    f) Step 10 C: \ W7.iso

    g) Steps 11-15 OK, In step 15, the virtual machine shutdown. is it correct?

    h) Could you explain a little more of V2P and how to mount the image in z: In VMware

Excuseme but from this point I do not understand anything, I run WAIK but I think in my case I can not put the same command

It is my understanding the winintegrador is to integrate drivers and updates. I have a question can I use Dism.exe to integrate drivers and updates, for me this method is more simple or at least I get it and I practiced it.

How to install the Tweak.reg because there are HKCU records, could you to explain me, how to use startnet.cmd(Chinese language for me), is there any example or some guidance on how to use startnet.cmd to install Tweaks.

Let me ask a question, why and for two partitions

    Thanks in advance
