  1. I have uninstalled WAIK, rebooted machine, installed english version of WAIK, deleted "vLite\wimfltr" and "wimgapi.dll" from "C:\Program Files (x86)\vLite" And vLite is finally working. Seems like reason of problem was non-english version of WAIK. I'm very surprised that such (mis)behaviour of vLite is not described in stickies (or I'm blind?). I don't believe that it is uncommon problem. Cheers and regards.
  2. Now I have "x86" and "x64" in "vLite\wimfltr". What exactly should be put in "x64"? "C:\Program Files\Windows AIK\Tools" does not contain "x64", it contains "amd64". I have tried two variants. 1) I have copied "amd64" to "vLite\wimfltr\x64". 2) I have copied 'x86" to "vLite\wimfltr\x64" (i.e. "vLite\wimfltr\x64" and vLite\wimfltr\x86" have identical content). Abracadabra... May be source of problem non-english version of WAIK? Thanks for your patience Kelsenellenelvian.
  3. Thanks for quick reply. http://www.microsoft.com/downloads/details...a5-5b50c657de08 6001.18000.080118-1840-kb3aik_pl.iso That one is downloaded and installed.
  4. I still have no success. I have WAIK installed in "C:\Program Files\Windows AIK" Content of this directory is: Docs Samples SDKs Tools readme.htm Terms for Microsoft Software.RTF Content of Tools is: amd64 ETWProviders ia64 Image Manager PETools Servicing USMT VAMT x86 I have copied "C:\Program Files\Windows AIK\Tools\x86" to the "C:\Program Files (x86)\vLite\wimfltr\x86". In "C:\Program Files (x86)\vLite" file "wimgapi.dll" is present. It's size and MD5 are equal to the size amd MD5 of "wimgapi.dll" from "C:\Program Files\Windows AIK\Tools\x86". After launching vLite and pressing Install for WIM Filter I see message: "Put the WIM installation files in 'C:\Program Files (x86)\vLite\wimfltr\x64' then press OK." I have tried to copy "C:\Program Files\Windows AIK\Tools\amd64" to the "C:\Program Files (x86)\vLite\wimfltr\x64", renaming "C:\Program Files (x86)\vLite\wimfltr\x86" to "C:\Program Files (x86)\vLite\wimfltr\x64", repleacing "wimgapi.dll" with version from "C:\Program Files\Windows AIK\Tools\amd64". Each time I have the same message. What I'm doing wrong? I'm using Vista Ultimate x64 SP2 (polish version). WAIK is in polish version too.
