  1. Hello, I installed Xpize4_MCE_RC fine on my system. But I've encountered a problem with Stardock's Windowblinds 4.6. Every time I open the Display Properties, Windowblinds exits without any error report, unloading the current theme and leaving with me an ultra-ugly classic windows style. Since WB changes the Display Properties and adds some new options to it, I believe there is an incompatibility between the changes XPize does to the Display Properties dialog and the changes WB does (btw, I had WB installed prior to the installation of Xpize, and there was no error when opening the Display Properties). The only solution for me was to disable the integration of WB into the Display Properties dialog. Until now no further problems. But I believe there could be a problem with the new WindowBlinds v5 (which is Beta now, but will be finished soon), because the integration into the Display Properties Tab seems to be mandatory now. Which dll is changed for the Display Properties Dialog? I guess I have to disable this specific dll for Xpize in order to keep my WB running. bye, Amanda K. P.S.: another short question: I know about the problem between PowerDVD and Xpize regarding the msxml3.dll. If I disable this dll in xpize, which xpized graphics will I lose? A description of what was changed by xpize in all the dll's would be handy.
  2. Okay, after running NCAB in Win98/ME-Compatibility-Mode it now says WinRAR is not installed on my system, but it is (although not in the default location). Do I really have to reinstall WinRAR to use NCAB? I don't want WinRAR in the default location. Edit: I just copied my WinRAR directory to C:\Program Files\, and now it's working! Maybe the NCAB creator could add a line to the first topic stating that WinRAR has to be put in the default location, and that people who are having trouble with the executing the Nero_installer.cmd should try the compatibility mode.
  3. Hi, I've got the same problem as ]bonkers[. English WinXP, Nero 6.6.0.14, 7zip 4.20 (4.16Beta didn't work either). Which command-line tools are necessary to run NCAB?
  4. Hi Folks! After weeks of reading on this board - here is my first edited Winntbu-dll: Setup Screenshot Version: WinXP Prof. SP2 engl. Changes made: replaced main background picture (obviously), changed highlight text color and progress bar color, modified left column item text list and counter text ("aka "setup will complete..."), removed most of the MS-Blabla, added some short lines so the user knows there is still some progress. Modified files: winntbu.dll, winnt32u.dll, syssetup.dll Tools used: Resource Tuner, XPreview for checking I'm sure some people here will recognize some stuff I used, I picked up some bits here and there... So of course credit goes also to all the original art makers. So do you like it?
  5. I had also problems connecting to http://xplode.voidfx.com/ , but then I had the idea of temporarely using a free (anonymity) proxy and it worked. So maybe the people still having problems accessing the site could try this as a work-around. Just my 2 cent of course...
  6. @ Glent: you were of course absolutely right... *shame on my impatience* The GUI-Setup-Screen appears after the first reboot, like it is supposed to do. :-D Nevertheless thanks for your help.
  7. Hello, I have a related problem. I wanted to replace my GUI-Setup-Screen following the "dummy-guide" of this forum. But when I test my unattended WinXP Prof. CD +SP2 in VmWare 4.5.2 I don't see any GUI-Setup at all, only a textbased one (see attached file). The same thing happens with the original WINNTBBU.DLL file (and non-unattened mode). What's going on here? I'm going crazy about this... please help! Thanks, Amanda K.
