U.S. Files First Suit Against Internet 'Spyware'
Coolsights2000 replied to snekul's topic in Technology News
LOL it is about time... Every time I clean up a computer, I just want to ring the SOB's neck that stuff just f's-up a computer big time... On my personnel compters I run the real working blockers and detectors... and I DON"T GET hit up by known crap and even at that I have stuff set to NOT load the crap... Most people hate my setup and they whine like a stuffed pig after they use it.... So they shut the blockers down so now they get it again ... or they say it is to much trouble to update.. LOL it takes 5 mins even on dial up.. when they do get infected again and again I just laugh at them to there face... They hate that... I had already explained to them why... over and over and over Some of them want the free stuff and you know how that crap is... I laugh at them for getting that stuff cause there is enough warez stuff on the internet to get the better pay for stuff free ........ I use a varity of stuff to keep the crap locked out.. IESPY list POPupCop adshield with a adserver block list... SpywareBlaster IE turn off enable install on demand,,,,,, and I use ad-aware, pestpatrol corp. tuscan to check for files and keys The big thing is not to f with known sites that are on the restricted list and that is where they want to go... And I don't mean porn .. there are many sites that are not porn that scam you now... And another area is to block those ad popups.. even block the sites from even loading a picture on your computer,,, the bloody ads are full of scam software,,, that tries to load on your computer,, Mac! -
Windows Post Installer version 3.2 beta
Coolsights2000 replied to Coolsights2000's topic in Unattended Windows 2000/XP/2003
sure did 45 bucks worth Just to let you know I have not forgot about you all I did have some play time today.. and I did away with the 10 layers and went back to one page I took the restrains off the limits to the amount of program you can have.. You can have all you want.. I looked the code over in the version 2.7 and it had some really screwed up spots in the code... So I reworked the code for the displaying of programs using the configurations load of programs so mine will be compatible with version 2.7 so you can convert over easy if you like the coolsights final ... I used a scrolling page inner so you can have all you want.... also added tool tips back... for the program listing... give me a few more days cause i still have allot of stuff going on... My next step is to work on the generate part... I also have to work on the program setup page,,, I better leave that for last in-case I change any of the variables... Looking good on the screen resizing to... It looking great so far.......... I uploaded a new file just so you can have a look at the new lay out with out limits and the program tips... Still in test mode... but program tips are back got rid of the slide menu..... don't need it any more.... Mac! -

I'm going to be on hold for a few days on my programming play time.. I will have my grandson high demand of my time.. plus I got hit by lighting and it took my modem out,,, I should have done a backup of the wifes drive before trying to install the bloody new modem and it F- me up! Had to take that one back and get a different one and that one would not work cause the first one screw me up and would not let me uninstall the drivers,,, so I'm resetting her drive up with SP2 and the works by hand cause I have not got the wizard done yet...... She was still on SP1................ I may be redoing the program lay out,, any way I can amke a window to scroll inside the inner window so stay tuned this way I will be able to sack the ten layer layout... ??????????? or I may use them both... don't know yet.. have to play thanks for the title change mate/////// Mac! -

Windows Post Installer version 3.2 beta
Coolsights2000 replied to Coolsights2000's topic in Unattended Windows 2000/XP/2003
Sorry If I confused you I based mine on the very first original posted one a long time ago... I added stuff to the program like the timer way before the other one had one... I posted a picture.... if you look back... I added a password box to exit and bypass the force install if needed,, you can turn that options on and off read the readme... I broke the installation screen down into smaller sections so you will be able to get more than 48 programs... LOL just think if you put 15 programs per page x 10 pages is 150 20 * 9 is 180 I switch to a smaller font on lower screen size and as the display size lowers I drop the decorations off......... you can turn the timer on off have it stopped or started same with the force exit password menu you can turn that options off so it is force and no way out... if the forced exit is in effect LOL when I get done I will also included a options so you can run the installer on a different computer and genrate the files needed for the install so you can just put the files on a CD and burn for a custom install then the user will not see anything ... just the installation at runoneEX... That is another point when the installer exit and starts installing programs you will see the install progress in the runoneEX windows,,,, Endless posibillties,, I saw the other post where it said "I want the user not to see the blody install just do it." that can be arranged.... a few hidden.. possiblites LOL instead of going on to my next step of checkboxes maybe I would be better off doing a configuration settup Screen.... That would intercept the presets and set it up like you want custom... timer on off started stop password box on off etc etc... Mac! -

Looking good on the screen resizing to... Mine takes into account a screen size change while in actions.... not depended on an size,,, I have two displays and when you change screen size in the other programs they don't show all anymore,, they cover both screens all of screen one plus part of screen two... and they clip the bottom........ when you resize mine on the fly it auto re calculates the resize for any size on the fly,,, It looking great so far.......... I uploaded a new file just so you can have a look at the new lay out with out limits and the program tips... Still in test mode... but program tips are back got rid of the slide menu..... don't need it any more.... http://www.geocities.com/putertuneup/WPI/WPI.zip like before run this file///////// WindowsPostInstaller.hta Just remember this is not a working version yet! I have not change the about screen to match and didn't change the version number this is just a quick upload for you all... Mac!

AOL AIM messenger extra blockers
Coolsights2000 replied to Coolsights2000's topic in Application Installs
LOL I figure out the ultimate SETUP! Install_AIM_5.9.3690.exe by hand but untick the toolbar wild tangent and weather bug.... run the file Ad Hack 3.67.exe copy ths file msvcr71.dll from this folder C:\Program Files\AIM\Sysfiles to this folder C:\Program Files\AIM NOW YOU WILL NOT HAVE TO INSTAll any setup files when you light off the new hard drive,,, just save the folder C:\Program Files\AIM somewhere in the set up files then copy it to the new drive.. how you do it is up to you... also install a short cut to aim.exe somewhere... Bingo That is all you have to do then you will not get any bad stuff install... also to add you might want to look at the HKCU and save part of them.... so your profiles will come up.. ths is the key it saved the user logon stuff in [HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\America Online\AOL Instant Messenger \CurrentVersion\Users\WHOEVERYOURARE\Login] mac! -

AOL AIM messenger extra blockers
Coolsights2000 replied to Coolsights2000's topic in Application Installs
I know what you mean I played with the UK version aimUK5.5.3598.exe http://ftp.newaol.com/aim-uk/aimUK55.exe The only thing you have to deal with on the silent is the wild tangent They don't get the AOL installer or the weather bug... and you can kill wild tangent before you go on the internet also my blockers prevent it from installing... Funny how other countries get different packages Same goes for some other programs that you have to activate over the internet you don't there,,, When you use the UK one you get wild tangent no options,, to opt out... just delete the auto download manager files before you go on the net... Mac! -
I was checking the program out too.. there is a new version 3.67 if you don't have it and it is for Aim Version 5.9.3690 only http://aftermath.dyndns.org:8888/~aimadhack/ also they have a forum http://s3.invisionfree.com/The_Aftermath/index.php?c=3 I did put a post over there for more info... But while I was playing when you hand install it when you get to the screen this will install ad hack get the files out of the %TEMP% folder open the file manager cut and paste %TEMP% hit go... now look in the folders for the AAH.exe it has a total of six files,,, copy that folder to a safe place,,,, close the installer that you have open cancel out... now use the AAH.exe /VERYSILENT that will install all the default settings... INNO installer suck cause they don't give you any good options.. So we will have to wait for a answer from there forum... If I can find a way to prevent the AIM tool bar from installing I will use this file tooo.. But if I don't I'm going to do the hand install of AIM.. I bloody don't even want the extra crap from the start of it... some times just installing the garbage and removing it can cause havoc... LOL I know the earthlink 2005 installer messes you all up even though you tick NO NO NO NO and Bloody no... it still install the stuff...and it cause all kind of havoc with my real working blockers... and that is even after you go remove after it is all done... LOL Already got a answer while I was posting this from there forum... Little do they know... trap a few files.. Hey...whooo hoo... Mac!

Default User Swap Revised
Coolsights2000 replied to Coolsights2000's topic in Unattended Windows 2000/XP/2003
OK Now I got you ok so lets say you get to the end of installing all the software then you can make a new user just like you made the default user.domain in the beginning when you reboot it will boot on to there desktop.. just add a new set of these at the end .... useraccounts.cmd autologon.reg have it reboot and you will be on there new desktop... just add to the register to hide the default users like you do to the admin account... you could even prompt them for there user name... somebody might even know how to get that window that you normal get when you don't do a unattended install.. also you could leave the defualt user.domain and just relink back to it then delete that profile... that would put the hidden default back to hidden.... So many idea's cause when they create there new profile it will come from the hidden default user... and that one is the one you loaded up... it all depends on how you want to do it you could have it log into the admin account and let them go from there.... and at the same time unlink from the default user and go back to the default user domain.name and delete that one at the same time... here are the netuser commands you will notice there is delete in there http://support.microsoft.com/?kbid=251394 once you change the links and enable the admin account on the reboot put in the runonceEX a command also hide the default user net user "Default User" /delete Mac! -

Coolsights2000 replied to Coolsights2000's topic in Unattended Windows 2000/XP/2003
any idea to modify the key automatic after I create the new user name ? Why do you want to create a new users! I'm confused as to who what where when and why...... if you mean before you login the first time as far as i know the answer is no unless someonne knows how to modify the files sooner..... the only folders that you should see while you are loading software is Documents and Settings All Users Default User LocalService NetworkService and the Default User.domainname if you have not deleted it yet,,, LOL On deleting the Default User in the applet .... it got rid of the hidden default users /// and left the Default User.domainname but that profile is useless cause you remove the link to it... Coolsights2000 replied to Coolsights2000's topic in Unattended Windows 2000/XP/2003
That is true evil We created a throw away default user.domainname The plain default user you have to keep,,, you are switching from the default user.domainname to the hidden default user profile...
