  1. Hi Strel. I wrote VBS script, which add ANSI color codes to your SNMs, makes new file _SNMsynthColor.cmd. For using this place ANSICON.EXE and ANSI.DLL from this archive to the SNMs folder. 3 types of messages highlighted now: NOTE: yellow on blue WARNING: black on yellow ERROR: white on red Edit: _SNMsynth.cmd correction not needed since 20100116 version! And finally, run this VBS only via WScript! CScript sometimes runs it incorrectly. Resulting _SNMsynthColor.cmd size must be ~2Kb bigger than _SNMsynth.cmd _ColorSNMs.zip
  2. After this message _SNMsynth.ini not present, using default settings to build installers. ECHO command with default settings not working. Current ECHO flag state putted into console.
  3. Maybe /qn as an option is not so bad idea. I wrote VBS launcher, it can process error codes returned by installer. And I have description of each error from MSDN. If there will be any errors - VBS can write this to log + warn user via console message & "Press any key to continue..." or display message box.We cant see progress for each individual update only...
  4. I know MSI windows are not minimized, but I think with /MIN key they will be created as background windows, not foreground...
  5. Maybe add /qb! as option into INI too? Best way to cancel process is closing CMD window.We must press Cancel too many-many times in MSI if CMD is active...
  6. strel, if you replace /qb with /qb! switch, Cancel button will be removed from install windows
  7. P.S.: Version 20100103. _SNMsynth.cmd: :: Silent .NET Maker synthesized 20100102 :: _SNMsynth.ini: ; _SNMsynth.cmd 20100102 PROCESS SETTINGS. ----
  8. BTW, maybe add new option into INI file, which says SNM synth to launch all installers/updates minimized? Something like SET STARTMIN= IF <INI_option_check> SET STARTMIN=/MIN START /WAIT %STARTMIN% blah-blah-blah.exe Now installer windows become foreground & take input focus...

  15. Hi. SNMS 20091216. When I make my .NET installer (2.0sp2+3.0sp2+3.5sp1+LP=RU) I get 5 error messages during build process. These updates are: for .NET 2.0 - NDP35SP1-KB960043-v4.msp, NDP20SP2-KB971030.msp, NDP20SP2-KB971601.msp; for .NET 3.0 & 3.5 - NDP35SP1-KB960043-v4.msp Also right after 3.5 processing finished, I saw in console: C:\.NET\TMP\TRANSFORMDB.VBS(5, 1) Msi API Error: ApplyTransform,TransformFile,ErrorConditions C:\.NET\TMP\TRANSFORMDB.VBS(5, 1) Msi API Error: ApplyTransform,TransformFile,ErrorConditions C:\.NET\TMP\TRANSFORMDB.VBS(6, 1) Msi API Error: Commit C:\.NET\TMP\TRANSFORMDB.VBS(6, 1) Msi API Error: Commit
