Try _SNMsynth.cmd /echo to see batch commands.

Leave COMPRATIO= blank to achieve HIGHEST compression ratio..

17 197 156 - 17 181 221 = 15 935 ~ 15 Kb.LZMA2 SFX size is ~ 3Kb bigger than LZMA. Total difference ~ 12 Kb. But UPX compression of SFX gives us (as you say) ~ 50 Kb.

LZMA2 isnt better than LZMA. It is faster and more multi-core optimized, but LZMA compress much better. Try to use 7-Zip 4.65 and you will see it.

Maybe optionally (by _SNMsynth.ini), f.e. I need passive installer w/o delays & msgboxes, because I use it at T-12 via cmdline.txt...

If AV think than UPX = virus - kill this AV. All the past FPs gone since reported (Comodo etc.)

I found it! I forgot to append YES to MERGEFXS=. When I change to YES - all works fine, but why w/o YES doesnt work.... SNMs 20100118, ** Processing .NET 3.5 SP1 portion... NDP35SP1-KB957661-x86.exe process delayed. Processing NDP35SP1-KB958484-x86.exe... & I see message box with error "Unable to open installer package......." 20100117 works w/o errors. P.S.: All 3.5 sp1 updates give this error too. I think MSIEXEC cannot find MSI package (invalid extraction path?)...

In the script file (_SNMsynth.cmd) replace all /qb with /qb!
