  1. I found a program called "FileMenu Tools" [1][2]. It is a shell extension [3][4] (not just simple entry in the Windows Registry [5]). It allows to open the cmd console (command prompt) in the current folder [6][7] (without selecting a subfolder). 2. Console2 has a lot of bugs. However, it is the best freeware terminal emulator for Windows, which I found. I tested all official beta versions from 120 (2.00b120) to 144 (2.00b144). For version <= 122, program had a problem with maximize button. Since version 128, I am not able to select text (useful for copying) and since 140 version, vwKvasdoPager [1][2] (a very interesting module for VirtuaWin [3], which resembles the GNOME Pager) doesn't work properly if Console2 is running . Versions from 123 to 127 seems to be OK, but in versions 123-126 I can't change the background color (useful when useing many shells, e.g. Bash and PowerShell). So now I use version 127 [4][5][6][7]. The most disadvantage of this program for me is that I can't drag and drop tabs beetween Console2's windows. 3. Thanks for reply. I don't need such big application. I don't need RDP, VNC. I don't need support for remote connection/file transfer (OK, I need, but I already have application for this). I just want small, fast application like GNOME Terminal, KDE Konsole, Terminator (but with support for windows docking/drag and drop tabs between windows). I usually open >6 "Command Prompt" windows. For example: I have problem, when I have to run next workers (I have to run another cmd.exe, but I don't have enough space on screen). 4. Hello I would like to use "Open Command Window Here" (Open in terminal) in Windows Explorer. I know, that PowerToys for Windows XP include program "Open Command Window Here", but I use Windows 2000. I found site [4] which describes how to add this command to shell extension. It works OK for directories and drivers [1], but i can't add "Open Command Window Here" for current folder (without selecting directory) [2]. But there are TortoiseCVS/SVN, so it is possible to add items to this list of commands. My question is: how? I searching for registry key [3], but found only directory, folder, file, etc. [1] - http://wstaw.org/d/6439 [2] - http://wstaw.org/d/643a [3] - http://wstaw.org/d/6438 [4] - http://www.burgaud.com/open-command-window-here/ Thanks in advance. 5. Hello. I am looking for a terminal emulator (like Gnome Terminal, not shell) for Windows with support tabs (like tabbed browsing). It should support multiple tabs in each window and tab drag-and-drop between windows. It should be freeware and working under Windows 2000. It should support "Windows's interpreter" (Command Prompt?), Bash (from cygwin) and PowerShell. It should works like this (tab drag-and-drop between windows): [1] - http://wstaw.org/d/6452 [2] - http://wstaw.org/d/6453 [3] - http://wstaw.org/d/6454 [4] - http://wstaw.org/d/6455 [5] - http://wstaw.org/d/6456 [6] - http://wstaw.org/d/6457 [7] - http://wstaw.org/d/6452 (First window have tabs: A1, A2, A2; Second window have tabs B1, B2) I found Terminator, but it doesn't allow drag and drop tabs between windows. http://software.jessies.org/terminator/ Thanks in advance. Sorry for my poor English, but it isn't my native language.
