  1. That means you've effectively selected the item for removal. sorry, I mean, what does the component do?
  2. ugh, audio still doesn't work. Am I still too aggressive with my removals? Does it have to do with windows media player components? Installing the realtek drivers still give me an exclamation mark in the device manager. Hmm, maybe it has to do with the extra audio drivers (Microsoft Audio Home Theatre Effects=True) (WDM Audio Drivers=True) I removed... idk.
  3. WOot! 1.5.0 is out! Would a x64 ultimate 7 lastsession.inf work on x86 ultimate 7? Would the # of components available for removal be the same for both x86 and x64?
  4. Did you actually read my post? About 10cm above yours. 1.5.0 is out already. I guess the stable version will be 1.6.0 at the earliest. uhh, no it isn't. There's no download link yet. It's just a wip afaik.
  5. Genious! Lol, 2 hours of sleep clearly isn't enough for me. Give bensam some time to update his thread dude.
  6. In my lastsession.inf, I removed internet explorer, but it's still checked on both the left and right side. I can't tell if it'll be removed or not unless I compile it and test in virtualbox.
  7. hey bensam, I noticed that if you load the lastsession.inf again, it'll correctly check everything on the left side, but it won't for the right side? Can you fix that?
  8. Hi! I've finally customized windows 7 ultimate x64 to my liking, but there's one last bug that's keeping it from being "perfect." Attacthed, is my lastsession.inf. You see, the problem is that all my drivers install correctly post installation, but audio, no matter what, does not work. Even though the driver install is successful, the device manager will have an exclamation mark, and the toolbar will say no audio device installed. My hardware specs are i5 750 Gigabyte h55n-usb3 Gtx 460 1tb hdd I hope that this is as simple as me having removed one too many items! Thanks!
  9. I'm wondering because several modified isos on the net don't have this option, but are ridiculously small.
  10. is there an option to remove the "upgrade" function to reduce space?
  11. I'm loving this program, but I have a question in the un-attended section. In auto logon, what does logon count mean/do? and if you skip user creation, then the default is administrator, with no other accounts right? Is a password necassary?
  12. Hello everyone. I fresh installed a version of windows 7 ultimate x64, and I extracted the install.wim, boot.wim and setup.exe from the sources folder of the dvd. However, when I use dism to get a list of packages, it is incomplete. I heard of installing the install_wim_tweak.exe with the switch of M. After doing that, dism doesn't even show any packages now and I get an error. I'm in admin mod, and such. The vista sp1 waik is installed too. How do I remove packages? I read articles on Technet, and the commands are nice, but I don't see the packages. Help please.
  13. Could you make a .wim from scratch instead of modifying one? Like, create image of D: and turn it in .wim, and replace the stock windows 7 one?
  14. If I have a perfected windows 7 install with my apps, docs and such on it, and I use imagex to generate an image/.wim file, can I just make a modified windows 7 iso by switching out the default install.wim to the new image? Would it install the image, or is it more complex than that? I'm still reading the technet articles...
  15. Use the setup.exe from the sources folder of the original iso of windows 7. That should solve it. I had the same issue where I copied the one at the root.
