  1. I couldn't figure out why it was doing it either. I re-installed vLite to no avail so I deleted and re-did the Windows 7 build using Jeronimo's guide. I thought that fixed it but when I got to the end of the guide, where you a single tweak, the problem popped up again.
  2. I have been messing with vLite today on my Windows 7 64-bit installation but now it's giving me an error I haven't been able to fix. When I tell vLite to "Rebuild" it gets just a hair under halfway and crashes with the following error: Title: vLite.exe - Application Error Application has generated an exception that could not be handled. Process ID=0xac0 (2752), Thread ID=0xa48 (2632). Click OK to terminate the application. Click CANCEL to debug the application. Hitting either button closes vLite. I will report back if I fix it but I was wondering if anyone else has had this problem. EDIT: I attached by "Last Session" file. Last_Session.ini
  3. Thanks SausageHack! I finally got it to work and am running Windows 7 (x64) as I type this!
  4. Alrighty. I got Windows 7 64-bit (non-vLite'd) installed and re-did the tutorial but when I load the "SausageHack.ini" in vLite it doesn't do anything. I even re-downloaded and copied it to the vLite presets folder but it still doesn't do anything. I tried restarting vLite as well as rebooting my laptop to no avail.
  5. Is it possible to do this guide (Guide 3) on a 32-bit OS FOR a 64-bit Windows 7 installation? I currently only have access to a 32-bit OS but would like to vLite a 64-bit version of Windows 7 before I install it. I guess if it comes down to it I can install a non-vLite 64-bit then vLite the DVD and reinstall but I am trying to avoid that if possible.
  6. Thanks for the help atolica. I grabbed fltmgr.sys off my sister's Vista installation and it worked like a charm. I then uninstalled vLite 1.2, installed vLite 1.1.6 then upgraded to 1.2 in order to workaround having to download the 1.3GB WAIK installer. vLite 1.2 now runs "normally". Thanks again for your help!
  7. So I tired to vLite Windows 7 today and I got the popup saying it needed File System Filter Manager. The problem is, my nLite CD of Windows XP SP3 doesn't have the file on it, according to vLite. It won't let me go past the popup, clicking the "X" just quits vLite. Does anyone know where I can get this file? I found this Microsoft link but I can't figure out how to download/install the file. http://www.microsoft.com/whdc/driver/filterdrv/default.mspx Does anyone know of a way to fix this? I would rather not do what appears to be the alternative of Install Windows 7 -> nLite the DVD -> Reinstall Windows 7.
