    uninstalling it did return the taskbar. I'll check out the other link & work on it again later--I have my plumbing apart and need to reassemble before my housemates decide to take extreme action Let you know how it comes out.

    I installed 5.5 last night, and I have no taskbar upon restart... explorer is running, ctrl [ESC] doesn't return it.. Ideas?
