thats correct i dont have a upgrade edition, that can be installed on earlier windows version. with windows anytime upgrade dvd its possible to boot from the dvd and it can be installed on blank harddisc's. thats also correct, but i bekam with medion recovey disc a windows anytime upgrade dvd (original) and it can be installed on a new pc. thats why i use it and not recovery. can anybody tell me whether the both windows anytime upgrade and original retail dvd matches ( same size ) i have this dvd in german. you can do it with the english version of anytime upgrade dvd and original retail dvd. big thx

hi, i have bought a new computer "medion" with vista. there was two dvd's, medion dvd (recovery) and windows anytime upgrade. next day i just formattet my pc and installed vista with the anytime upgrade dvd. i hate oem cd/dvd's from dell, medion etc. the question is, has a difference between anytime upgrade and retail version of vista ??? is there the same contents in it ??? or how about with the winxp retail and systembuilder version ? note: since 2002 in germany can be bought a windows cd/dvd without computer (not bundled) thx

i know what you wanted to say but for me was GOLD-CD not a RTM. its clear now. i suggest also integrate sp3 from rtm. therefore that was why i wanted to say that ms released a new xp version which sp3 included or i can borrow a rtm cd from my friends (hope) edit: and that was why i bought a new xp cd with sp2 greetz from austria

thats true but dont forget that gold cds available where sp2 included. i also have a gold cd called "enthält (included) servicepack 2". like this http://oem.microsoft.com/downloads/product...m/WinXPHome.htm i wish ms brings a gold cd with sp3 or i hope i can borrow a non sp included xp version greeetz

Hi @ll yesterday I discovered strange. if you put "... /KERNEL=BIOHAZARD.EXE" in boot.ini you just see the original winxp bootscreen. if you change the name you'll see the manipulated ntoskrnl. i use Home Edition with SP2 German (2180) by the way it exist a virus names biohazard. see.you.again. edit: excuse me i want to put in "editing boot.ini"

run it with internet explorer. when opened with no error is ok. otherwise correct it. the 2 folders hotfixes, directx9 comes from me. you must correct the command line "xplode.exe /xml:xplode.xml /log:"#SYSTEMDRIVE#\xplode.log" in "xplode.exe /xml:xplode.xml /log:#SYSTEMDRIVE#\xplode.log" else i've found no errors in xplode.xml

then merge the hotfix and software xml. delete the software.xml and the item to the software.xml wich runs with the runonce and add more items to the hotfixes.xml i make it so because the hotfix kb832483 (data access components) must installed after logon. with my script it will installs automatic the software.xml which kb832483 included after restart. where is the problem. just after or before. greetz edit: hauptsache es wird automatisch installiert engl.:main thing it is installed automatically edit: first: keep a clean copy of winxp to the hdd !!!!. second: just download the file and extract to $OEM$ folder. edit the file winnt.sif, you must give a correct serial number and change the values!!!!!!!!. then move the file winnt.sif in I386 folder. and last you must edit the xml, because they're optimized for my system. please change or compare with yours. if you dont want installs after restart just delete the last item in hotfixes.xml and the software.xml file. the file WINXP_BOOT.BIN is for bootable cdrom.

hi @all: here is my xplode version ================= cmdlines.txt hotfixes.xml software.xml it functions very good. you can take it mukeshnuna. and convert the xml's to unicode edit: it's very simple mukeshnuna. my solution works exactly the same as the others. in my solution you don't need lot of cmd files. i'll be back ps: take it easy
