I really appreciate this post. Thanks spiff! I just purchased a new computer that came preloaded with Vista Ultimate x64 edition and found the Bluebirds being loaded with the LG GH22NS50 DVD drive with no disc in it. Calling support for the place I got the system from didn’t help as they didn’t know what I was talking about and apparently were not aware of this. I’ve since alerted them to this post and they were thankful that I alerted them to this. I read many replies that said they couldn’t get this to work on 64-bit Vista. It worked fine for me. Not sure why they couldn’t get it to work right. The only thing I can add is that I ran the firmware upgrade from TN00 to TN01 with the drive tray open, so that Bluebirds wasn’t showing. I also didn’t install the Bluebirds software, so all I had to do was update the firmware and it’s now gone and the drive operates normally.
